Custom Macro Colours in the Project Explorer

Post by Brendan »

I'm presently working on a project that has over 60 custom macros for a multi-function test platform - and growing.

A huge part of this exercise in the development phase is to test and debug the various macros, and would therefore be great to be able to custom-colour the individual macro icons in the project explorer, such as to indicate tested status or indeed anything else. For example, Green for 'good', Yellow - 'Untested', Red - issues needing rework, etc..etc..

Thanks and all the best,
Brendan

That's a nice idea thanks I'll add it to the list.

For now you can maybe prepend a letter to the start of the macro name so Flowcode will group together all the macros with the same state.

e.g. G=Good / I=Issue / U=Untested

G_MacroA
G_MacroB
I_MacroC
U_MacroD
U_MacroE

If you already have macros grouped together by name then the test letter could maybe be added at the end of the macro name?

Thanks Ben - Much appreciated :)

I'm presently doing something similar, with untested and problem macros preceded by underscore, so it shoves them to the bottom and avoids visual clutter.

Still loving FC8 by-the-way :D

All the very best,
Brendan
