Flowcode/e-blocks on TV

Post by Mark »

Take a look at:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/search?q=Y ... e%20Genius

It is targeted for schools and valid for the next 5 days. About half way through, e-blocks programmed using Flowcode 5 are used.

The heater is a 15ohm 1w resistor run off a relay using the 14v spur from the multiprogrammer.
The PC fan is similarly powered.
The speech/sound is a seperate board off e-bay (£4) triggered by a pulse from the PIC.
The boys did some of the programming - it is Flowcode after all, and assembled the e-blocks part.

Enjoy,

Mark

ps I think the link only works in the UK.

Enamul,

It was on BBC iPlayer. If it has expired by now you need to contact the BBC iPlayer team and ask them to make it available once more...

Perhaps someone in the UK could contact the BBC and ask them to post the segment to youtube?

Best regards,

Jac

I've just picked up this thread, and regrettably missed the programme myself.

As a UK resident and regular BBC viewer (the treasured haven from the insufferable commercial assaults of lesser channels), I've just completed their contact form to inquire if they could extend availability of the original broadcast. I know that many here would like the opportunity to see it, so hoping they can accommodate my (our) request.

Should I receive a direct reply I'll let you know either way.

All the best,
Brendan
