HP2666 PSU

Post by JohnCrow »

Hi
Ive just noticed the new style PSU you are selling is fixed to center +ve
Now I appriciate this is not a problem with the programmers as they have a bridge on the DC input and can be wired either way round.

But the EB-011 Motor board co-ax power socket expects a center -ve supply. so this supply could be a potential problem, if used with this supply.
I know I can supply this via the screw terminals instead, but a user with less experience may not realise.

Also I cannot find it in the documentation, can the MIAC operate on either polarity.
Thanks

Hi John,

All current E-block versions have a bridge except the HPACT actuators panel and the EB011 power board.

These both have "idiot diodes" to prevent damage to the board when the wrong polarity PSU is connected. And they both have alternative screw-terminal connections for the power supply. So we think there are workarounds for these boards, and we will probably reversion these boards soon.

Thanks for pointing this issue out.
