Connection Problems with EB024

Post by PortUniChris »

Hi all,

Having a problem with my EB024 Bluetooth board. All connections are fine, and yet the device is undiscoverable. Anybody know of a fix for this? Also, if it is broken, I suspect only the Bluetooth module would be damaged. It's much cheaper to buy the module than the whole board again, so does anyone know if this would be suitable?

It's the same product, first one is the data sheet!

Thanks guys!

Chris

Hello Chris,

I have had a look at the module you suggested and it is the incorrect pin out for the EB024 E-block.

This module would be a replacement for the module on the board.

Excellent. Thank You!

Any ideas why it could've died? Power still runs through it, just isn't discoverable so I assumed it was the module

Hello,

Could be that the discoverability has been disabled? Have you tried loading a program that sets the module up as discoverable again? Example 1 available here should do just that.

Hi Ben

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I didn't do anything that would do that I don't think, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks :)

Chris

One more question, any ideas what the standard Baud Rate is of the EB024? I'm reading 100kBps in the data sheet, which would imply 800,000 bits per second. Is this correct, as I can't find any other mention of Baud Rate in the data sheet?

Hello,

The standard baud for the module is 9600 bits per second I think.

Edit: Yes 9600bps confirmed :)

Hi

I can't open the example which you gave me to make the device discoverable again, as I'm using ATMEL AVR.

Please can I have a compatible file?

Thanks
