Hello,
I am going to drive through e-blocks a stepper motor and I need to know how flowcode has ''in mind'' the connections.
Talking about a bipolar that has two windings/4 coils A/B 1st winding, C/D 2nd winding. AB are the terminals for the one winding and CD are the terminal for the other winding > as stated at the stepper motor's ext. properties in flowcode.
Now, as stated at the connection properties of the stepper motor, Phase 1, phase 2, phase 3 and phase 4, which terminal correspond to?
Thank you in advance,
Best Regards,
Andreas Achilleos

Re: stepper connections
Hello,
Yes the component connections relate to the connections shown in the ext properties window.
Phase1 = A
Phase2 = B
Phase3 = C
Phase4 = D

Re: stepper connections
Ben,
I will drive the stepper with an external driver circuit board. Will I be able to use the stepper macro component or should I use the port output icon?
Thank you in advance,
Best Regards,

Re: stepper connections
Hello Andreas,
The stepper component should work fine with an external driver board as it's basically the same as using standard outputs. Dedicated driver boards that just have step and direction inputs will not work with the component.
