Easy Bluetooth Bundle released
This Bluetooth bundle
includes everything you need to rapidly develop a fully operational application
that wirelessly connects your embedded system to your PC. The manual includes a number of
examples which explains how to establish a wireless Bluetooth connection.
Flowcode macros to support the
use of this board are also available. Click here to download the Bluetooth manual.

Wireless serial link using Bluetooth
With the
release of our new E-blocks Easy Bluetooth Bundle we thought it would be
a good
idea to publish a Knowledge
Exchange article that showed off exactly what was possible
when
integrating a system such as Bluetooth into your embedded designs.
"The
first example is a basic program that simply sets up your Bluetooth module into
a state that allows it to be discovered and allows us to connect to it at any
time. The module is given a pairing key so that no unauthorized users can
connect to the module and cause problems in the system... read more

MIAC controlled
underfloor heating
The MIAC is an industrial grade
control unit similar to a PLC but more
feature packed and easier to program without
having to resort to using ladder
logic. In this month's Knowledge
Exchange we demonstrate how to control underfloor heating with one.
“To show off the capabilities of the
MIAC and as
Winter is starting to set in I thought a good
article would be to demonstrate
how we can replicate an expensive under floor
heating system for a house at a
fraction of the cost…” read

MIAC
questionnaire winner
Thanks for all of the completed
questionnaires we received over August. The information was extremely
useful and will help us decide which addons to develop for our MIAC PLC.
More details will be announced in due course.
Congratulations to Kim Juhl from Denmark, who was the
entry randomly selected to receive the £200 voucher for MIAC or
Flowcode-related products.
We hope to run similar questionnaires
over the coming months, so there will be other opportunities to be a
winner!

Why
Flowcode Student/Home users should turn
Professional
The student/home licence version
of Flowcode is a great tool for starting out with microcontroller
programming,
but it does have limitations in terms of code and components. If you want to use
Flowcode for the ICD functionality then it's time to upgrade to Flowcode
4
Professional. For more
information,
click
here.
Remember
Flowcode versions V4.2 or later now
comes capable of generating code that is compatible with Microchip's
HI-TECH C.
Upgrades -
from
one type of licence (e.g. Student to Pro) to another is simply the price
difference. Versions
3 to 4 upgrade will receive a 50% discount on the Flowcode
price.
