Matrix complete project to support BAE Systems

Following two years of discussions and planning, Matrix have finalised a six-figure project to support BAE Systems, the British multinational defence, security and aerospace company with technical teaching equipment for an overseas project in the Middle East.

The project has seen Matrix provide equipment for electronic aviation maintenance training, electrical installations training, pneumatics and automation training and mechanical engineering training for a Technical Training College.

Liam Walton, Managing Director of Matrix TSL said:

“Although we cannot name the specific location or name of this project for reasons of customer confidentiality, we are very pleased we have been given the opportunity to support a global, prestigious company such as BAE Systems. The training they offer is second to none and we know that with the support of Matrix’s teaching resources and curriculum, they will be able to deliver even more effective hands-on training to engineers of the future. This is one of largest contracts the current financial year and to deliver it through the current challenges facing businesses has been testament to the committed and hard-working team we have at Matrix.”

 A BAE Systems spokesperson said:

“The Matrix TSL equipment we have bought forms an intrinsic part of our engineering programme and allows us to achieve a high practical content.  The equipment will be used to deliver basic principles training and will allow students to progress onto later phases of the programme with a good understanding of the subject matter.

Matrix TSL have maintained delivery through these challenging times and adopted novel ways of clearing their products for delivery to us, using online technical reviews.  Ordinarily this would have been through face to face meetings, and I am really pleased that we have worked so closely to deliver on time.”
