Re: Trialing Flowcode 8 programmer problem

Hello,

It could be a driver issue, I believe Flowcode 4 worked with an earlier version of the AVRISP mkII USB driver.

There is a newer signed driver available from the "Flowcode 8\Drivers\AVRISPmkII" folder which hopefully should work fine with v8 and also not break the v4 installation.

Re: Possible Stack Overflow ???

It is a different compiler toolchain - with different code generation. The interrupts 'should' be disabled (automatically) when in the ISR - but the ISR should be kept as short as possible - so it shouldn't be possible for it to overrun? (I'd suggested changing the ticks<>0 to avoid the possibility ...

Re: Possible Stack Overflow ???

- as a possible fix to the interrupt code generated by avr-gcc. I altered the optimisation level in avra.bat to 3 (instead of 2 in FC7 or s in FC8) -to do this make a backup of avra.bat - you can find its location from 'compiler options') - edit the batch file (right click and choose edit) and chang...

Re: Possible Stack Overflow ???

Hi Martin, There's a nice pros and cons table here for the various optimisation levels. https://www.rapidtables.com/code/linux/gcc/gcc-o.html Seems that -O3 takes longer to compile and uses more ROM than -Os but certainly could be handy in cases like this. On the flip side -O3 seems to have signific...

Re: Avr ASM and Flowcode 8

Try something like: asm.JPG and see: http://www.ethernut.de/en/documents/arm-inline-asm.html Note that you MUST' have the "\n\t" (or possibly just "\n") - on each line except the last - so to add 'CLC' - as the last line add the "\n\t" to the final mov command line. Thi...
