Re: SPI/Max7219

Hi Jorgen, No, you are not demanding too much. If I would you I will ask for something like that. As this chip has lots of features, I think it would be good for you if you move on step-by-step..I am attaching here a schematic for the whole system although I think you should start with one 7segment ...

ECIO-28 & 40 RXINT Issue

Hi Ben, Although this issue is mentioned in the following post years back... http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6927&p=16337&hilit=RXINT#p16337 But I guess you might have missed that. But it seems very important for me. As I can't use RXINT in ECIO and tried for...

Re: 16f88 / 16f628 int b0 with 7segment on port b

Hi Jorgan,
No problem in asking. You are always welcome. No this is not general fix. It is for those who want to use 7segment in portb from 1 to 7 and bit 0 for other purpose and they will not use dp.. As currently you have to connect a,b,c,d,e,f,g,dp in bit 0-7.

Touch Sensitive Switch

Touch Sensitive Switch. While browsing a component website I came across an IC shown as a 2 Channel touch switch. It was under a couple o quid so I added a couple to the order to have a play with. When it arrived it as an 8pin dip device with a small sticky label on the top. I immediately pealed th...

Re: Internal Pull resistors for Arduino

Hi Ben, Do you know what is the internal pull-up resistor value for PIC ics? I didn't find that from datasheet..may be my eyes skipped that. Edit:A strong pullup means using small value resistor for pull up whereas a weak pullup means using high value resistor for pulling the signal to Vcc. I got it...

Re: Internal Pull resistors for Arduino

Hello, It looks like the pull up resistors on AVRs are between 20 and 50K. Therefore at 5V the input pin will see the following. Worst Case - (5 / (20 + 10)) * 10 = 1.66V Best Case - (5 / (50 + 10)) * 10 = 0.83V The input low voltage is specified as between -0.5V and 0.3 * Vcc. at 5V this is 1.5V so...

Re: Internal Pull resistors for Arduino

Hi Jorgen,
Ben has suggested pull-up option which requires adding code in C code..But just two lines of code will be enough for this. As soft pull-up enables weak pull up in the PIC input, so if you pull down by 10K resistor for example; I think the pin will be still pull-up...

Re: Touch Sensitive Switch

This is a simple flowchart and circuit to use the touch switch board with an ECIO With the slide switch to the left, the channel latchs With the slide switch to the right the channel toggles. For example if Sensor 1 is set to latch and Sensor 2 to toggle. Touch Sensor 1. It will show Sensor 1 Touche...

Re: Touch Sensitive Switch

Hi

The slide switch is not in the flowcode program.
They connect pins 4 & 5 on the 8pin device to either 5V or Gnd.(This sets it to latch or toggle)
The 8pin pic was bought as a touch switch device. See the first post in the thread.

The touch inputs have a 1M-ohm pull up to the +V line.

Re: DS1307 RTC

Just built a new version of the hardware. The circuit is exactly the same as the one above, except its a lot smaller and has wire connections rather than the D-Connector. Care must be taken with the routing of the data/clock wiring anf not to have the wires too long. Also i have not fitted a switch ...

Re: DS1307 RTC

Ive updated the DS1307 RTC Programming software, so it can be entered on the keypad (PORT D) Once the data has been entered, the program waits for the # key to be pressed before sending the data to the chip. This way it allows for programming it against a standard time signal or accurate clock. The ...

Re: RXINT issue in PIC 18f4580

Hi Jorgan,
Don't worry. You can simply make a FCD.backup folder in the Flowcode folder and keep the back up of your old FCD files and put this new FCD files in the FCD folder..It should be fine :)

Re: GLDC!

Hi Jorgan,
I guess you are trying to mean gLCD not GLDC :) I have got my gLCD in hand and looking for a free-week end to play with that and I will post some tutorial for that. I guess you should be able to interface Nokia gLCD using FC.

Re: GLDC!

Hi. The Flowcode 4 gLCD component works with some nokia displays, probably it was 3310, but I bought many modules on Ebay (same phone model), some of those works, some don't, so if you are lucky, it works, if I remember right, even same seller and same module doesn't guarantee that all modules works...
