Re: Random Characters on LCD

Hi billduck, I have just checked on a 324p that software baud rate is correct at 9600 and displays chrs correctly using a terminal prog like hyperterminal. I can confirm that Baud rate is 9652 and chars are correctly displayed. What I would suggest is with your hardware is send RS232 to ur PC 1st to...

Re: Arduino MEGA

Hi Bill try the attached fcs file(mistake in last one sorry) again unzip and import into compiler screen and save R3 is just the version of board your using with a few added pins http://arduino.cc/en/Main/arduinoBoardMega2560 hopefully it should work, if not redownload the files from the thread you ...

Re: Ev lithium battery pack cell monitor

Hello, It sounds like you are trying to send digital readings to an analogue pin. This probably isn't going to work too well. A PWM type signal and a RC filter might work but probably won't be deadly accurate. You either need to take all your analogue signals and multiplex them into an ADC pin using...

Re: parallel LCD

Hi billduck,
QMESAR is correct.
The best way is to search for LCD then add LCD (Generic):
add LCD1.png

Then select LCD component on the panel and right select properties:
add LCD2.png

You will be able to select desired number of columns and rows.

Re: parallel LCD

There are too many components in FC6 to list without the lists in the tabs becoming too large and cluttered. So the lesser used components are 'hidden' and can be found using the search option. (There is actually an option in the program settings that allows the tabs to expand [there will be a down ...

Re: Programming I2C Digital Compass

Hello, I've added the initialise code and a loop to take the X reading and show it on a LCD. If you can do this then splitting it up and showing on 7-segs should be easy. Your config settings don't seem to match your clock speed. You have selected the internal RC oscillator which by default is 4MHz ...

Re: Bitwise manipulation

Hi,
The algorithm requires the use of a single variable Byte.
Also 10011111 is interpreted as a decimal, not binary.
I've attached a correct version.
Hope that helps,

Re: Time Delay question

This setting is used to calculate all kinds of timing related parameters like serial port baud rate settings. It is fairly important to set it to the right value. (General advice: check clock settings with the 1 second flasher when starting with new hardware) If you are using a Uno clone, why not ch...

Re: Time Delay question

The project properties are set for an 8 MHz crystal. You need to open 'Build'->'Project Options' and change the clock speed to 16000000.

Re: IOC Port K on Arduino Mega

Hello, Many thanks for letting us know. I think I have now found and fixed the problem. Download the files below and copy them to your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\FCD\AVR" directory before starting Flowcode and the problem should be resolved. Arduino Mega 2560 R3.fcdx Arduino Mega 2...

Re: Flowcode with AtMEGA 2560

Ok, I Will try to program a Mega with your program later today and see what happen. Maybe it is something with your driver.

Have you tryed to program with Xloader?

Re: Flowcode with AtMEGA 2560

Hello, Yes Flowcode can program an Arduino via it's USB connection as long as the bootloader is present on the Arduino. The only Arduino we cannot program correctly is the Mega2560 without the R3 marking, for this we recommend the Xloader tool. Flowcode can also program the AVR devices using a numbe...

Re: RS232 implemented as hardware or software

Hi billduck, I have used hardware and software UART at the same time. With the software side there could be an issue when interrupts are triggered at the same time as sending or receiving! Interrupts cause software UART pulse stretching. Is software side not working then what I do to test baud rate ...

Re: making hex file un readable

Hello,

Yes there should be lock bits you can set via AVR studio etc. You will need a ICSP such as the AVRtiny or AVRISPmkII to be able to access the device memory without using the Arduino Bootloader.

Re: Not able to program a MEGA 2560 R3

Hello,

The Arduino Mega requires the Arduino (ARD) chip pack. The Uno is included in our free chips offering.
