Re: Flowcode v6.0.9 Live

Thanks guys. Yes, problem with error 120 solved with a restart. I suggest forcing a restart after install as many programs do not require restart these days. Barge pole and Windows 8, Yes, I mistakenly installed the Windows 8.1 update. Not so much an update as yet another way of working. It insisted...

Re: Inserting Arduino codes in Flowcode

Hi Theres a few ways to do it one is to convert the arduino code to c and add c code to flowcode ,another way is to look at the code and convert it straight to flowcode, link to the code for the sensors you have and if someone can convert it they will. but it may take a while as people are busy etc ...

Re: Arduino Programming In Flowcode v6

Hi Monie
V6.1 is now available(couldnt say too much the other day as it was going through final testing), and you dont need to adjust any settings for arduino, simply add the arduino to your project, when you click on compile to chip, a pop up appears do what it asks and bingo ,works a treat

Possible PIC16 SPI issue

dsPIC33EP512MU810 datasheet note states, "The SMP bit must be set only after setting the MSTEN bit. The SMP bit remains cleared if MSTEN =0" http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/70616g.pdf (p.341) PIC16BIT_CAL_SPI.c assigns the value of SMP prior to setting MSTEN. Hence, it appe...

Re: After the flowchart

Hi, It's great that your son has discovered the world of electronics. A pleasant change from the spend the money and push the buttons appliance generation. As he is new to the hobby probably best to avoid anything that needs soldering (at least for now). I would suggest that he (you ?) invest in a s...

Re: Strange compiler report on Flowcode 6.1.0.0

You are not doing something wrong. Strictly speaking Flowcode is doing something wrong, the C code generated is not standards compliant as noted by the compiler. I would recommend to check the warnings (tedious as it might be) as these warnings may obscure warnings you need to take into account beca...

Re: CCP2 alternative pin

Hi Dirk, I have tried with FC5 setting up CCP2 alternative pin on 16F1824 since it uses the same RA5 and also requires same bit (0)of alternative pin function register apfcon1 to be set before it will work. I can confirm it works. If you are having trouble getting it to work, perhaps you can toggle ...

Bug: ADC 16F1933,16F1934,16F1936,16F1937 & 16F1939 [SOLVED]

Using V6.1.1.0: ADC does not obtain correct value from any of the channels (Tested with 16F1937) For example using GetByte on AN1. If ADC is supposed to be 200 when working correctly, then with the bug the readings I was getting: 0 64 0 128 0 64 0 128 etc After investigation I found it's not a bug w...

Re: Compiler problem with I2C CAL component

Hi Dirk, I have modified attached file so channel2 now compiles ok. can you make a backup of PIC_CAL_I2C.c in C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\CAL\PIC\ and replace with attached file. Since I don't really know what i'm doing with I2C I can't guarantee it will work of course. If not working then you...

Re: FCI_DELAYINT is now FCI_DELAYBYTE ?

So I thought I'd try something, and it worked! I simply double clicked on that 400 ms Delay icon and then clicked OK. Where Flowcode thinks I made a change to it. Saved, recompiled, and the problem went away. Still don't know what caused this, or why the above action fixed it. But perhaps it makes s...

Re: Raspberry Pi Adaptor

Although the RPi is a great little computer, I've not done as much with it as Id have liked recently. I don't have room for a 2nd monitor and having to keep swapping the monitor cable is a pain, plus it means Im not able to use the main PC at the same time. KVM switch was one option I had considered...

Re: Problem with ULONG variable?

Hi Dave.
Instead of using LCD PrintNumber
Use LCD PrintFormattedNumber.
You will also need to enter 1 in the Format for unsigned Number.
You may also require a small delay within main loop.

Martin.

Re: Does the MIAC have a clock?

The is no real time clock in MIAC, the advanced expansion module (MI3846) contains a real time clock. Keep in mind Flowcode 6 does not support the expansion modules for MIAC. You could create your own clock using a timer and interrupts, however this would require manually setting the time after rese...

Re: Access Violation Error and then Flowcode crashes

Hi Ben,

added 10ms post the cursor macro... seems to be very stable.... 2ms was not quite enough...

I have added the delay as a variable to the project so I can set it it to zero when i do the final compile to the MIAC

thanks for sorting this... much appreciated

best

Re: Flowcode5 and 6 with CANbus

I had this problem too. The components in V5 and V6 are very different. For me the only way to use my old (V5) Flowcode-made chart is to keep on compile it as V5 flowchart. Maybe you can import the V5 chart, add in V6 a new CAN-bus component, and everywhere you use the component in V5, add the same ...
