Re: RPI and long distance radio

Hi I use the Gamma modules quite regularly and can achieve miles over various terrain just using a standard antenna as supplied by the company. In London I had a Tx on the roof of a four story building bordering the Thames near World's End and could communicate at ground level way past the fire stat...

Re: RPI and long distance radio

That is indeed interesting... I worked with the Gamma's a few years back and despite the settings changes as advised by RF we managed a patchy 200m around the industrial estate, reliable behavior was at 100m. Talked a lot with RF solutions, ran recommended antennae direct from the module etc.. RF so...

Re: RPI and long distance radio

Hi all Traveling as usual so apologies for tardy reply. I haven't used the Lambda modules but they do sound like another good product. I agree that terrain, height and castle walls will all affect your success with any radio module (as an aside I once had to rely on PLC for a castle as you couldn't ...

Re: STM32 PWM Disable ??

Hi Actually I haven't problem with Disable PWM as I found out that, for my application instead of disabling it is better to change the duty cycle to "0" (LED off) and again back to "11719" (LED blinks 0.5sec). In this way, the code runs faster. However, it is good to fix this bug...

Re: STM32 PWM Disable ??

Hi The new file works flawlessly and thank you. Answering to your questions: I had never a compiler error with the old file. I have an application board equipped with the STM32F303RE - QFP64 which I try to program and on which I make all of the tests. BTW, I did the selection of this micro because o...

Re: SCROLLING TEXT MANY TIMES ON LCD

Hi Derrihj I'm not in this forum too often so my reply may be too late. Whilst Matrix staff provide excellent support it is a little unrealistic to expect them to modify your flowcode for you. Instead they point you in the direction of help and they and other forum members are usually very happy to ...

Re: Arduino Nano Modbus RTU

Hi! Have you tried loopback test at your modbus RTU speed and putty to test out that the serial passthrough really works? Are you sure the USB serial adapter has not reset the speed for some reason? Have you tried disabling and then enabling the USB adapter again, will it allow the serial speed agai...

Re: How to send ASCII char while using GSM component.

Hi, You should be able to add the value to the string as an escape sequence. "\xhh" can be used to add a hex character constant or "\nnn" adds the value as octal, e.g. \101 You can also add multiple characters "\x1a\x1a" would be two ctrl z characters. Similarly can use...

I use the Uart interface for the ESP8266 module.
Below are the necessary steps to define a station AP and to specify the IP address, client name, passkey and encryption method, here WPA_PSK.I hope there is something for you.

Re: VISI display advice and guidence.

FC allows arrays - with a syntax very similar to C... So when creating a variable - add the number of elements for the array in square brackets after the variable name... array.JPG To declare an array of 10 bytes.. Note that to access them arrays are 0 based (so x[0] .. x[9] here) Using a loop - use...

Re: STM32F3 RTC help

Tip: this will save you from the need of using several switches to set the actual date and time. Only a user switch, few settings, and 3 times flash of micro are necessary to initialize the RTC calendar and clock. In my hardware, the switch is attached to port PB.11, for that reason the Port interru...

Re: UART / circular buffer - performance - non-performance..

Hi! Can you try to use the RXINT to catch reply from UART1, then put that to a variable that you check when running the program? In your case, create a new macro, RXINTERRUPT, simple and sturdy: rxint.JPG That macro will receiver and store char when the program runs and it gets some feedback. Then a...

Re: EEPROM data lost

Hi Dirk, I've had a similar problem on a few different PICs. In the microchip errata for one of the devices it confirmed an issue did exist with the EEPROM module.
