Re: DS PIC ECIO CAN bug? Or am I missing something?

Yes, looks like a bug, in line 1650 of PIC16BIT_CAL_CAN.c MX_MEMBUF_X[buffer][0] = (MX_CAN_TXB0ID_X << 2) & 0b0001111111111100; This is using the component property value, MX_CAN_TXB0ID_X, rather than the macro parameters. Oops, my bad. You would probably be better using SetTxIdent macro, altho...

Hi Secs Sorry for posting the link ;) , the miac and a few other boards are also on my to get list, if i had more money i would have 2 of everything  Also bear in mind that the support from matrix themselves is first rate and more accessible than any other company i have used in the past, also ...

Re: Converting Flowcode v5 Program to v6

The components now say "v5" rather than being on the v6 version Your hardware should work the same with V6 showing V5 components as it did by actually using V5 Flowcode V6 should be designed (with a few minor exceptions) to run hardware after loading a V5 flowchart, then compiling to targ...

Re: SOLVED: Problem sending character to LCD via UART/Serial

Okay, turns out the problem was indeed the "Extended CPU Enable"
UART1.jpg

After switching to "disabled", the code worked as expected.

Re: String Handling Questions

2) is a STRING null terminated (and the documentation is correct) or it is NOT (and the documentation is in error). If you are telling me that a string[20] that contains 20 characters has no null termination, then that means the documentation is not accurate. The documentation is not incorrect but ...

Re: String Handling Questions

The documentation is not incorrect but allows different interpretations. Gotta be honest, not sure how to even process that bit of information. Then don't try. Just accept that different people read different meanings into the same sentence. So, it is null terminated unless it's not. (for clarity o...

Re: Mloader erros

Just found this on the microchip forums: There appears to be a feature / problem with my setup at least, probably for the OP too, and maybe for others. This feature makes it seem, at first glance, as if the PIC12F629 will only program once. What actually happens is that after the second programming ...

Re: PIC18f26k80 Analog

I made a few changes and empirically ended up with Fosc/4 and 6 cycles acquisition time. Certainly got my analog acting more realistic.
If you wouldn't mind detailing me about the values - Is it more beneficial to be slower?

Thanks much - I can take it from here. :D

Re: Learner PIC

1.As per the flowchart I thought the counter would reset after 255 but it doesnt.it seems to be counting forever.I made it count more than 1049 It depends on what type the variables are designed to. When you add a new variable: Variable ranges1.png You can see if you add a byte, when incrementing t...

Re: PIC18F25K80 timer1 problem

Hi STibor Here is an unofficial temporary solution. I have modified: 18F25K80.fcdx That's in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\FCD\PIC (If 64 bit windows) or C:\Program Files\Flowcode 6\FCD\PIC(If 32 bit windows.) If you make a copy of the original files and replace with the attached file, hopefull...

Hi Simpi,
Only posted the one you mentioned as I thought it would help you get out of a jam.

I will leave matrix to update the rest of them as lack of time my side.

Re: DS18b20 and an endless loop

Ok all. I have a DS18B20 in and operating. I use the one wire component and simply use the value returned by the gettemp and multiply it by .0625 It seems to be running ok. I have it in an outdoor system I am using to control my Aquaponics setup. I expect to see a - value sometime in winter I will n...

Re: bug with 16f88

At the very start, so should be the first icon.
Place a C code block with

Code: Select all

osccon=0x60;
:
setting osccon.png

It's not a Flowcode bug so moved topic from the Bugs section.

Re: dsPIC ECIO40P16 and internal CAN

Well Flippin' eck!! I might have learnt something tonight.. haha!! Leigh, I read out the C1CFG1 C1CFG2 C1CTRL1 and C1CTRL2 registers, displayed them on the LCD and compared them to the DataSheets. I toggled bit 11 of C1CTRL1 and its all working fine. :D Its register value CANCKS ECAN Module Clock So...

Leigh,
This was more than a solution, it was a great bit of usable information in making components, and programming as well.
Very useful for all other projects.
Thanks again,

Re: help with types

damn yes, I have fixed it.
the problem was in readtemperature macro, when I read second byte of data, Last parameter in i2c_Rxbyte was 0 instead of 1.
so next macro ReadPressure was reading completely wrong data and all calculations were wrong.
Whew.

Re: Measurement of temperature and relative humidity using D

Hi paridhi, The errors are caused because ECIO-40 has a 16bit timer0 but the V5 flowchart was designed for 16F877A which has a 8bit timer. Therefore all the C code blocks referring to tmr0 will produce an error. You could use timer2 instead of timer0 and change all tmr0 to tmr2 . Also when changing ...

My working IR sensor MLX90614 chart

I want to share this working flowchart for the Melexis MLX90614 IR temperature sensor. This sensor has two temperature readings (some in the MLX90614 family has two IR zones). I only read the ambient temperature and the IR temperature in it's view. I made this project on an Arduino Uno, with the se...

Re: Needed help with oled display

I understand you are looking for an answer, keep in mind the people reading your request for help might not have an answer because they do not have and do not know the hardware you are using. providing a link to a data sheet and attaching your flow chart might help. (But does not guarantee an answer!)

Re: how can i do an array of variables 4 bytes

hi

simple change the type from byte to uint for your variable
you can edit the variable type by call the variable manager..

best wishes
rudi ;-)

edit:
and be sure, your size of array is the same you need for the RegValue
