Re: I2C between 2 PIC-Micros

Hi Tiny

I quite new in the Forum..but working with PIC for last 9 years..I was looking for something last night. Glad to see you have made something really useful.

Thank you...I should thank Ben as well as he has directed me from other web page..Thanks Ben..

Re: Ultrasonic Distance sensor using HC-SR04

Hi Martin, Thanks for the nice work. I have manged to improve accuracy in v1 using TMR1 for 100 us time measurement. In fact I have changed to 92us because we are loosing couple of pic cycle due to other commands..so by adjusting few microseconds produce much better accuracy.. I have posted my progr...

Re: Ultrasonic Distance sensor using HC-SR04

Hi Martin, I have modified my last V1 to deal with temperature change. For that, I have now used distance formula, D = ((temp dependent speed)*time of echo)/2. In your v1 and my last post, Count is measuring the number of 100us (actually 92 us implemented in TMR1) which ultimately measures Echo time...

Re: MX029 - GSM Remote Control

Hi John,

Excellent work! :)

I am trying to use that with wavecom supreme 10 modem so that if anyone doesn't have GSM module can try with standard modem.

I will post the schematic and program soon..

Thanks,

Re: Flowcode 5 PORT interrupt selectivity

Hi Richard, At first I would like to thank Martin for the useful info. Some devices have an iocb register which allow you to enable interrupts for individual portb pins. Other devices that do not have an iocb register will have the properties greyed out. This means you will not be able to select por...

Re: Power-Down-Modes ECIO28

Hi, You can have a try with the attached program..I have used TMR1 for 2s count in sleep mode. You have to use 32.768 KHz crystal in RC0 & RC1 besides PIC's main crystal. TMR1 runs in sleep mode if watchdog timer is disabled. After 2s, the 16-bit timer, TMR1 will overflow and generate an interru...

Re: EEPROM Question

Hi,

I wish I would have noticed this in the early Jan '12. We had a tough time with 100 s of 16f876 ICs...Work fine couple times..then don't work..re-write works few times..then same problem...

Few ICs don't work at all..

Thanks goes to you and Ben the Boss :)

Re: Compairing Numbers

Hi,
Compare$(string1, string2, compare_type)
Compares the two strings, parameters 1 and 2, and returns a BYTE value corresponding to the following results:
0 = strings are identical
1 = string1>string2
255 = string2>string1

You can generate this kind of function using the attached FC...

Re: Power-Down-Modes ECIO28

Hi Pedsim, the code works 1time but the PIC doesn't return in sleep mode and rest in Run-Mode. Can you tell me bit more detail why you are telling so...Have you changed any one of SW from RB0-2 to low state? In the attached code, I have put always true loop in run mode which means that if you enter ...

Re: DELAY for day's

Hi Electron67, I am attached here a RTC using TMR1 and crystal 32.768KHz connected in RC0 & RC1 besides 20MHZ PIC main crystal.. This can give you monthly calender..i.e, sec, min, hour and day accurately.. I have reset day variable after 7 to show rotation of week days if you change the day vari...

Re: Display 4X20 scroll

Hi, This is happening because in LCD Line 0 and 2 are addressed one after another and line 1 & 3 are addressed one after another.. http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/vishay/020m004b.pdf So..scrolling causes data to send to 3rd line after first..if you check my attached program you will be...

Re: PWM relay?

Hi, I have controlled speed in an EC-FAN using PIC PWM and FC in a commercial project. It seems clear to me now why you want to use relay...i.e. to bypass resistor to change speed....although I think you could have other alternative to relay.. You have said earlier that supply voltage could be upto ...

Re: Recalling delay time after first cycle

Hi,

It seems that you want to use a delay timer after which an output will be created to trigger IR...but didn't mention for how long...?

This will repeat continuously..while monitoring an input i.e. a stop button..

Is that the idea..I can help you..

Re: PWM relay?

Hi Uli, The electronic unit is a dual voltage device. This means that the same unit can be used in both 12V and 24V power supply systems. Maximum voltage is 17V for a 12V system and 31.5V for a 24V power supply system. This means that you don't need and also can't use PWM for this compressure. You h...

Re: PWM relay?

Hi, Actually I become clear after my last post. You have used relay to bypass resistor for speed change. This relay power is your issue. For 12v you can use directly power source that you have but for 24v you need to use regulator to down 24v to 12v for relay supply. But the problem is 11.5v in inpu...

Hi Brian, in the main program i enable the interrupt TMR0 and tell it to call a Macro that has a receive char in it it is looking for Char ^ (94) so when it sees this char it must jump in and out of setup which all works, now my problem is if I send a string say for example 001 the receive char in t...
