Re: EB006-00-8 data sheet availability

Thanks David for making EB006-30-8 available. I think it may need some editing because V8 does not support low voltage programming : From the V8 datasheet: "5. Circuit description: subsection 7. Low Voltage programming ...The version 8 EB006 does not support low voltage programming modes....&qu...

Re: Select-Create Custom Sequence

Yeah Brendan,

This a fantastic Idea I hope that is going to be implemented into the next version of Flowcode.
Great thinking.

Re: Select-Create Custom Sequence

Hi there. Nice idea. I think macros pretty much do this job already (a macro is a custom sequence and allows editing, expanding, etc), but the ability to be able to create a macro from a series of selected icons has never been suggested before (as far as I know). There is a lot already in the pipeli...

Re: Significant GUI issue with PPPv3 bundled with FC v5

Afternoon. I hope you have had a good Christmas. It is strange you are getting the same issue with font size at 100%, I was under the impression that the DPI setting was the sole cause for this. Perhaps screen resolution or other interface settings are also an issue. Steve - who has recently left Ma...

Re: Significant GUI issue with PPPv3 bundled with FC v5

Same problem with windows 7 32 bit, cant see right hand side of screen and cannot move right hand boarder to see obscured text. Someone posted this somewhere else on the forum and cured the problem by setting the screen resolution. Mine was set at 125% when set at 100% I can see the right hand side ...

Re: Two network boards with one EB006 and 16F887 ?

Hello Brendan, I would go straight for the 16F1939 devices rather then the 887 as these are now pretty much old hat too. The 19xx devices have more features and cost less. Running two boards from a single EB006 does work ok as we do this for the Firewall example program. Whether or not you will be a...

Re: Advice please: Flowcode V5 with ICD3 ?

Brendan, I tend not to bother with switching Flowcode settings and use MPLAB IDE (v8.83) to upload the code with PICkit 2. The workflow is: - Compile to HEX in flowcode - Open MPLAB IDE (if not open) - Select correct device (Configure->Select Device. MPLAB recalls the last device used so only needed...

Re: Advice Sought: Flowcode V5 with ICD3 ?

Though not entirely essential, it would make sense that we embrace the ICD3 for Flowcode debug of assembled boards if possible. As far as I know Microchip and Matrix use a different debugging protocol. You will need to use EB006 or FlowKit (both with level shifters) for Flowcode debugging on PIC mi...

Re: Clock configuration issues with PIC12F1840

Hi Brendan, With osccon=0xF3 or With osccon=0xF2 Should force this chip in PLL mode irrespective of the PLL setting This is because Bit 7 is set to 1 Since Bit 1 is also set to 1 the internal osc should be forced on as well. Have you tried disabling in circuit debug mode? Also it's not recommended t...

Re: Help please: PIC12F1840 Clock Configuration

No probs.

Are you using the debugging option?
If so I may know what the issues is had how to get around it.
If not, did it make any difference when debugging in the configuration option was disabled?

Re: HELP PLEASE: Flowcode V5 and Internet Board

Brendan, The TCP module manufacturers website lists a known issue with two of the chip (W5100) directly connected not being able to establish a link. Their solution is to set one of the chips to auto and the other one to a manual selected mode. This solution would require hardware modifications to t...

Re: HELP PLEASE: Flowcode V5 and Internet Board

The issue you are experiencing is a failure to correctly negotiate the link between the two modules. (I've experienced this issue myself with different hardware some years ago.) The recommendation to switch one of the chips (W5100) to manual mode can be found on the WIZnet support forum . To check w...

Re: URGENT help on PIC16F1827

Hi John, I have not used the DB9 to PC converter for TTL compatible voltages so I can't advise on that sorry.
I will have look on the net to see if it can be used.I will let you know asap.
I agree with Brendan as I have used FTDI and Silicon Labs TTL to usb converter.

Glad its all working for you now. Do you think diagnostics that way will help? Anything else you would like added? Now you know what's going on, you could set a breakpoint. press Run and when stopped at the breakpoint use F8 to single step. It's also handy if you set up key Mappings. If your not sur...

Re: dsPIC30F5013 Switch ReadState Bug

This is an issue for all processors with 16 bit ports. The switch component tries to read a 16 bit value into an 8 bit variable. Drop the attached file in the components directory to solve the issue.
