Re: USB Pic32

Hello,

We have not yet tackled USB on the PIC32 range. It is on the list and should hopefully be coming soon hopefully along with other USB improvements.

The USB component info tooltip should help you to know which device families are supported.

Re: Flowcode 7 Patch 7.1

To everyone who is experiencing the problem with Flowcode failing to start I have created a new thread specifically to help fix this problem. Please can you move all conversation about it over to this thread and I am going to help get this fixed for you as soon as I can. https://www.matrixtsl.com/mm...

Make long files names visible

Opening Flowcode 7 shows the recent files. But with long file names eg. due to a lot of directories, the difference between the recent files can not be read. Perhaps this can be improved in a future upgrade.

List of recent files.jpg

With kind regards

Re: Collapse of loops, and switch cases

Thanks for bringing this back to attention. Code folding is certainly on our list of jobs but I will make sure it's in the current visible list too so we hopefully get to it sooner.

Re: CRC calculations leveraging MCU hardware engine

A CRC calculation component (particularly leveraging hardware CRC engines where provided) would greatly assist with coding and operational efficiency, and add significant value for advanced/professional PIC users - particularly high-speed 32-bit devices where FC7 holds key advantages. Would obvious...

Re: PIC32 watchdog related compilation error

Thanks for letting us know.

It looks like this is going to take more time to solve, the ADC on this device looks very different to the other MZ ADC devices which explains the compilation errors being generated.

Hopefully I'll have a fix for you soon.

Re: PIC32 watchdog related compilation error

Thanks, that helped. However, there seems to be more. Initializing an ADC_base component results in a following plethora of errors. Below I've added an example that illustrates the issue. C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 7\CAL\PIC32BIT\PIC32BIT_CAL_ADC.c: In function 'FC_CAL_ADC_Enable': C:\Program F...

Re: PIC32 watchdog related compilation error

Thanks for letting us know. I have now found and fixed the bug.

To solve the problem simply copy the attached file into your "Flowcode 7/CAL" directory and the project should then compile correctly.

internals.c

Let me know how you get on.

PIC32 watchdog related compilation error

Hi, another bug report I'm afraid. While attempting to compile a project for a 32MZ2048EFG144 PIC I've noticed a lot of watchdog related errors in the compiler output. The attached example illustrates the problem, a literally empty project fails to compile. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! C:\...

Re: PIC32 watchdog related compilation error

Hello, Right this is now compiling correctly. I don't currently have one of these devices to hand to actually test if the code works so please let me know how you get on. Firstly you have to copy this file to your "Flowcode 7/CAL/PIC32BIT" folder. PIC32BIT_CAL_ADC.c Next you have to copy t...

PIC32 Interrupt Problems

Hello, From dealing with a forum bug related to PIC32 interrupts we have found quite a significant issue surrounding the PIC32 devices and interrupt code. The bug relates to the 7.1 release and also previous v7 releases. Anyway I have spent the day going through each device and checking the interrup...

Re: DMA Channeling

Hi Brendan,

From some of my past industrial projects DMA is a highly useful tool. However making a component that could work with many chips scares me a bit. I'll add it to the list as one to investigate as it would be very handy to have.

Re: 32mZ UART Flow Control Pin Selection

Hi Brendan, That's interesting I wonder if the hardware flow control pins are being enabled somehow. Which specific chip are you using and I will investigate to make sure these are switched off. Also are you using the chip with a bootloader? Just in case it is maybe the bootloader that is switching ...

Re: Hardware UART component - PIC32MZ...

Hi Brendan, Right I think I might have this sorted now. First you need to use our updated UART CAL file which needs to live in the "Flowcode 7/CAL/PIC32BIT" folder. PIC32BIT_CAL_UART.c Next you need to use our updated definition file which needs to live in the "Flowcode 7/FCD/PIC32&qu...

Hi Brendan, Many thanks for the spot. I have fixed the INT1-INT4 sections in the attached FCD. I'm now going through the other devices in the family and fixing these too. 32MZ2048EFG144.fcdx Just copy the file to your "Flowcode 7/FCD/PIC32BIT" folder and restart Flowcode for the changes to...

Re: ECIO40P16 Numbering

Hi Brendan,

The pin "RF1 (ECIO C1)" for example is pin RF1 on the ECIO40P16 device. It's connected to pin C1 on the E-blocks ECIO application board EB061.

Re: Analogue Interrupts (IOC)

Hi Matt, can I take from you answer then that there wouldn't be any issues with FC if an interrupt were enabled 2/3/4 times? (so I could cut and paste code without worrying too much) This is fine as long as you always use the same Flowcode macro. Using different macros each time you enable the inter...

You might want to check the linker/compiler options to make sure the code starts at the right location when not using the ECIO40P16 profile.

Re: ECIO40P16 and Programatically Changing the Clock Speed

Hello, Your in luck, the ECIO40P16 device has it's bootloader in the extended memory. So your program using the raw chip doesn't need to do anything special and it will work with the bootloader. These 16-bit PIC EP devices are very cool 8) Note the only hoop you will have to jump through is manually...

Re: ERRATA - dsPIC33EP512MU814

Hi Brendan, Thanks for letting us know. I thought we ignored port I but I am also getting the issue here so maybe this has been dropped or forgotten. Edit - Aha the STM32 devices do have a PortI so it looks like the change was maybe made to accomodate these. Anyway here is a new definition file that...
