Re: Cannot store data to PIC18F4680 data EEPROM

So glad you started this post. This issue has been a thorn in my side for quite sometime now, so I understand your reason for posting. This issue is not limited to Flowcode V6. It also affects Flowcode V4 and V5. It is also not limited to that chip. I have not been able to find a target device that ...

Re: Test Based Applications - Have your say

Hello Brendan, Thanks for your comments. I would dearly like to see future eBlock boards optionally able to directly interface to common lower-level logic (particularly 3V3) without need of custom interfacing solutions. We have in fact already added this feature to the new EB006 v9 board which has t...

Re: Weird Vectorised Graphics

Brendan, Flowcode uses OpenGL, did you install any new software or updates (OS) recently? Could you check the 'Graphics engine' setting? It can be found in 'View'->'Global Options' tab 'Application' (right bottom). If not set to 'OpenGL software' please try setting it to software mode. Best regards,...

Re: Weird Vectorised Graphics

Hi Brendan, Your screenshot looks exactly like the display when 'Wireframe mode' is engaged. This is an option selected from one of the drop-downs on the System Panel... Wireframe Mode.PNG This mode would normally only used when creating a new component, and certainly should not be turning itself on...

Re: Problem with Log Function with ECIO40

In addition to Martin’s comments, there is also a bug in the string conversion for target code generation. It occurs when numeric conversion is mixed with string concatenation (the FCI_SHEAD error) We have a fix in the pipeline for the next release, but in the meantime you can work around this by se...

Is your Project Not working? Help and General Advice

Here are some basic solutions. First make a very simple 1Hz flasher, using an LED and something like 270R resistor in series. E.g: Loop while 1 A0=1 Delay 500ms A0=0 Delay 500ms If LED not flashing at correct rate (or at all) then check: A) All voltages are correct. VDD or VCC = +5V. VSS or VEE=0V. ...

Re: Is your Project Not working? Help and General Advice

Hello Brendan, Hmm this seems like a tricky one to debug. Could be that there is something like a write to an array that is going over the end of the array and therefore corrupting a different variable stored in RAM, the v6 simulation wouldn't show this problem as it detects this and extends the sim...

Re: i2c slave

Hello,

There is no I2C slave support in Flowcode yet though it is on the official list. I'll see if I can make this a priority and get it rolled out for you.

Ok let me know how you get on with it.

If you get stuck and want me to have a look at the file then you can send via a PM if the file is sensitive.

Re: v6.0.7 Issues

Hello, The Timer 1 issue has now been fully resolved across the 8-bit PIC family. It was a problem on pretty much all devices with timer 1 so weird we hadn't come across it before. Updated FCDX files will be included in the next release. If anyone wants any updated files in the mean time for testing...

Re: UTFT component? perfect for many graphic displays

Whoops, found there was a loop to transfer the data in all 4 components which was waiting for the index to equal 8 but the index variable was never being incremented!!

Should be better now.

Re: Help Please: Lowest-power sleep and 25s wake-up

Could you use an RTC chip like DS3231 with an alarm function?

That way you can, just before you put the PIC to sleep, read the current time then update the alarm of the RTC with the current time + 25 seconds, followed by the sleep command.

Re: Help Please: Lowest-power sleep and 25s wake-up

I understand that use of the WDT would initiate a reset

It doesn't, it just wakes it up. You can turn off the wdt after it wakes up if you like.
Due to the desire to keep wake-up processes short

If your using a crystal, try enabling 2 speed startup if it's available.

Re: Slow Drag-Select, and Identifying Pre-Disabled Icons

Slow Drag-Select: Where there's a mass of code icons in the given screen, it appears that drag-select is the only means of selecting whole chunks of icons. Re: Slow Drag-Select, and Identifying Pre-Disabled Icons

+1 on this!

Also I would like to be able to use the windows short command CTRL+A for selecting all. All icons in a macro but also all text in any text field like macro titles, description fields, calculations etc.

Re: Slow Drag-Select, and Identifying Pre-Disabled Icons

Another thing that bugs me to no end :)
When I click on the lower part of any loop icon it jumps up to the start of the loop which can be quite a bit removed from where I was.

Re: Help Please: Lowest-power sleep and 25s wake-up

No idea how to set it up for an 18LF series but for the 16LF series like the PIC16LF1936 it is simply: wdtcon =0b00xxxxx1; where the x's are the time and the 1 enables the wdt. sleep(); If the gie bit is clear it will not vector when the wdt times out. The wdt configuration bits are set to 'controll...

Re: PIC 1-wire: getting IDs for all 1-wire EEPROMs

Hello,

Have you seen the multiple 1 wire device example available from here: http://www.matrixtsl.com/wiki/index.php ... 28Comms%29

It is for temp sensors but should work equally well to show you how to address multiple 1-wire devices.

Let me know how your getting on.

Re: Slow Drag-Select, and Identifying Pre-Disabled Icons

Thumbs up all round ('hope I didn't miss anyone'). These are exactly the kind of suggestions that we're looking for at the moment - the next release is all about finally nailing the last of the "show-stopper" bugs, and we're hoping then to have time to start really sorting out the user int...

Re: Flash Memory Not Verified (2 EB006's, 2 PICs, and 2 PCs)

Hello Brendan, We tried for a long time to support the K22 devices with the EB006 but in the end we simply could not get them to behave and so they are not officially supported by the board. You should be able to program the chips on the board using a PICkit3 connected to the ICSP socket and switchi...
