Re: Lack of learning information for the program

Hello, There is a course on microcontrollers and v6 available from here, It needs some work to make it better but it's not all that bad at the moment. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/courses/itm/index.php I started work on a book early last year. Was based around v5 but most of the theory could be d...

Re: Lack of learning information for the program

Just had a quick skim over it and it looks good. Will have a good look when I get more time. I would certainly pay a reasonable price when complete as an e-book (or printed but that a different can of worms with getting it printed and distributed) Advantage of it being written by someone from Matrix...

Re: Lack of learning information for the program

Hi, I can understand what your problem is and to be honest I experience this also but not as much as you do because I use flowcode a bit longer. I think the matrix team is doing there best to keep the information flowing but you have to understand that this is not there only job in the company. Howe...

Re: Lack of learning information for the program

Hi
Agree with Jordy, also there's the wiki which is constantly being expanded, in Matrix main site in the learning centre there are some videos and also an example pack for v6 http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/lc_index.php

Re: AVR to AVR (arduino) communication

Hello, RS232 without the driver is basically an asynchronous serial bus. For simple chip to chip comms on the same board you shouldn't need the driver IC. If your going off board then having the driver chips might be a good idea depending on the length of your cables. I have managed to get this work...

Re: AVR to AVR (arduino) communication

Yes I think that would be possible, however can bus is not meant to be used as a communication bus over such a short distance, I'm not saying it won't work because it will just fine. But if you're looking for a comms bus that does not leave the pcb the. I would choose serial like rs232.

Re: Help Need with bits and Bytes

For my 2 pence worth. How I check is a bit is set or clear: (Variable & (1 << bit)) <> 0 // to Check if bit of variable is set or (Variable & (1 << bit)) = 0 // to Check if bit of variable is Clear So if you want to see if bit 2 is Clear: If (Variable & (1 << 2)) = 0 then it's clear If y...

Re: Custom timer interrupts

Hi outlawstc, If you can post your flowchart and specify the required interrupt frequency, then I can help you further. It would also help if you can state if using internal or external oscillator and what frequency it's running at. The most common mistake when setting up a timer interrupt is not ch...
