Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Hello,

Some of the lesser user or advanced components have been hidden away into the search component toolbar in 6.0.4.

If you do a blank search then you should get a list of all installed components.

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Hello, This page has some good info on using PLLs. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/wiki/index.php?title=Phase_Locked_Loop_%28PLL%29 If your struggling to work out what the C code needs to be to setup the PLL for your hardware then I will see if I can dig out any reference code. Let me know how your ...

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

The peripheral pin select feature is your friend !
You can remap the SPI hardware peripheral pins to others pins if you want.
You can do this by adding c code or with the tips given by Benj in one of my previous post : viewtopic.php?f=54&t=14502

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ! I understand what you are doing wrong. You don't have to create CAL_SPI component. You have to read carefully my post. As Benj said, you have to : "Open the window via the view menu and tick the "expose full component tree" setting. Next click the...

Re: HELP path problem

Hello,

Which version of v6 are you running? You can find out by going to Help -> About.

The Flowcode help wiki is also available from here if you want to have a look through. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/wiki/

Re: PORTB_H.0 = RB16?

To work around the issue, use calculation icons and assign the pins to variables.

Re: switch ReadyState() freezes

Hello, I have looked into this using a 16F877A on E-blocks and this is my findings. Single switch connected to pin RA2, in simulation the switch read state returns 0 for not pressed and 1 for pressed. The hardware does exactly the same with no lock up. You said that there is some noise on your port,...

Re: v6.0.7 Issues

Hi mikn, That doesn't sound right - we'll take a look at the new routines that memorise the window positions and see if we can identify the problem. In the mean-time, if you only ever want to use the 2D panel, you can completely disable the 3D panel in the global options.... - Open the menu item &qu...

Re: switch ReadyState() freezes

There are no pulling down resistors, that's the problem for this device. Can't add them because it's finished product... Hi mikn, You must have pull-down or pull-up resistors or your hardware will not work as intended. If you leave the i/p floating then the voltage on the i/p will keep rising above...

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Hello,

Right it looks like the code to ramp the prescaler had problems on the 16-bit PIC devices which caused a lock up.

Here is an updated FAT component which should resolve the issue.

FAT.fcpx

Let me know how you get on.

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Hello,

Yes we are looking into these issues for you, however we are currently up against the wall for a deadline so can't look into them today. I will make sure that both issues are made a high priority for next week to allow you to continue with your projects.

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Think I've fixed the bug in the FAT component for the 16-bit PIC platform. There was a bug in the FAT component where it tried to apply a speed change before the SPI was initialised which was locking up the program. File lives here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\components" FAT.fcpx T...

Re: FAT: faster way to write data

Hello, I think I may have found the problem with the 1MHz I2C in software mode. It basically works out the baud based on the calculated software clock delay in microseconds. As the delay would be 0.5us @ 1Mbps it actually ends up wrapping and giving 256us delay time or a baud of 1.9Kbps. I have modi...

Remember "Project Options" layout

It would be helpful if the geometry of the Project Options window would be remembered and not reset to default size. When working on chip configuration I constantly need to resize it (and the size of the colums) after opening the window.

Re: adc and pic24

Some more troubles. I've added cal_adc to my project. Pressed twice on current macro block, changed it from adc_base.getbyte to cal_adc.sample. Then when I press to field Sample I get error and FC closes. You are not allone ;-) i am with you ;-) ;-) ;-) http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/view...

Re: RawAverageByte

Hello, The idea is this we enable the ADC and allow it to charge to the external voltage. We then start the ADC conversion and collect the result, as a further optimisation we immediately start the next conversion before delaying so that we can pick up the result immediately after the delay and if n...

I'll keep checking back and if your still waiting in a week or two then I will dig in and see if I can do t...

Re: FAT and file name length problem

Hello Mikn,

Please can you try this. I have increased the size of the filename string buffers by one byte which should always allow the null termination to be inserted into the filename string.

Still trying to find some time to investigate your concurrent file problem.
