Hi,
Yes, looks like we support it, but it also looks like the FCD definition file has a bug.
Please drop the attached into your Flowcode \FCD\PIC16 directory, and it should now be selectable and load into Flowcode.

Many thanks for letting us know of the problems. They should now both be fixed in this latest definition file.

Simply copy the file to your "Flowcode 7/FCD/PIC16" folder and restart Flowcode to load the changes.

Many thanks for letting us know. I believe I have found the cause of the problem and resolved it now. Port E was being left in analogue mode on start up which forces digital reads to read low. After the ADC read it was correctly switching the Port E pins back to digital mode. Simply copy the attache...

If you assign your own vectors then the latency (the time from interrupt being triggered to your interrupt macro being called) may be very slightly decreased or at least can be reordered so...

Currently we default to the highest ADC conversion bit depth. Would a 10-bit conversion be useful for you? Maybe we could add this as an optional parameter.

It looks like this line in the .fcd definition file may be the cause of the problem.

Code: Select all

PortMask0=0xCF


Which equates to 0b11001111.

Try changing this to

Code: Select all

PortMask0=0xEF


Which equates to 0b11101111.

That does sound odd. Presumably the UART works, such that you know it's the CAN at fault?
I've attached a zip of older revisions of the PIC16BIT_CAL_CAN.c such that you can try them.
e.g. PIC16BIT_CAL_CAN@72.c is the oldest.

It may also be worth downloading and installing the latest XC8 compiler. You can install it stand alone and then point Flowcode at it using the compiler options. It could be there is an error in the Flowcode packaged compiler for that specific device that is fixed in the latest version.

Looks then like it might be worth trying the (original) version of PIC16BIT_CAL_CAN.c that has the aligned attribute setting with that latest compiler
