3C : RS232 Parity (1)

Hello An interesting new function in Flowcode v4 is C Code Customization. With v3, it was possible to customize but you were obliged to modify a file in a sub directory of ..\Flowcode\.. and when you went off with your laptop, the modified file stayed at home (or at the office) in your desktop compu...

Fastest Sinus????

I still have a Textronix TM5003 function generator/counter. Is about 40 years old and makes a lot of noise. Time to get updated. Looking at internet I found function generator and counters but rather expensive. But as PIC microcontroller user, I thought that can be done easily! First some literature...

Re: Interrupt Frequency Calculator and Timer Offset Calculat

V5 Some minor cosmetic improvements. Improve accuracy on updating timer values, thanks to sean for saying about += instead of just =. Calculator on the right loads with same Osc Freq and Prescaler as entered on the left, so less data to enter. Notice you can use calculator if require; A interrupt fr...

Re: Flip flop 50HZ

Your welcome jgu1. I have got a 16F883 in my EB006 programmer, so only selecting a different target device, I sent to chip and here is a screen shot with target device running with internal osc at 4MHz: Screen_S Scope 50Hz 1.jpg When posted flowchart had not tested on hardware, so was a bit of guess...

Automatic Switch Toggling

I have developed a way to automatically toggle any switch in Flowcode simulator, which can toggle an i/p very rapidly without you toggling the switches yourself! This is just like like a Clock generator which I believe is long overdue . Clock generator or Automatic Switch toggling works by using a t...

Re: Quad Encoder!

This thread is going to be really useful if anyone is wanting to use an encoder :) With encoders from several diffident people! Here is another version which does not have any limits set. It also shows if encoder is moving clockwise or Anticlockwise or stopped. A is portB6, B is PortB7 & C is 0V...

Re: RS232 Rx Flowcode

Please find attached the second version. In this one the Timeout has been introduced. This made the reading more flexible. Now strings with variable length are possible. 1.) Input parameters (Init macro) are: Baud rate , maximum number of characters in the string, oscillator frequency and timeout 2....

Re: SourceBoost c Compiler Error

Hi marcel,

Can you try right clicking on Flowcode and selecting "Run as Administrator" from the drop down then trying to compile and get back to me on how that went.

Re: Error opening Flowcode file

First make sure you have the latest V6 then try and open the file again. You can try looking for.001 file from the project directory and rename to .fcfx That file is a backup copy. If you want to keep the file that could be corrupted the rename it before completing the above step, so you don't have ...

Re: Bool True/False versus 1/0

Hi I suspect the issue your facing is caused by switch contact bounce. When a switch is first closed, the contacts bounce open and close for a few milliseconds before finally resting in the closed position There is no delay after the switch input, and since the while loop will run very fast then the...

Re: Limitation on length of filename?

Hi.
It's no so much about the filename length but what characters are used.
Try removing the comma and recompile.

Creating Custom LCD Characters Flowcode V4 & V5

Objective: Create a custom volume display with lowest volume showing a single line, next volume level = 2 lines etc. Just like this: Volume 1.png You don't need to add any custom code to LCD component. Just add code at the beginning of you program in the form of: FCD_LCDDisplay0_RAM_Write(Custom cha...

Re: Timer0 interrupt

Timer 2 is often a lot more configurable and has a programmable count register which can be conifgured in Flowcode. I have to fully agree with Ben on this. Take a look here for a grat app that allows you to set timer 2 with correct settings for precise timing periods. So much better than 8bit timer...

Re: Timer0 interrupt

Hello,

Timer 2 is often a lot more configurable and has a programmable count register which can be conifgured in Flowcode.

Programming offsets with other timers can be done by loading the timer count register with a value inside the interrupt macro using a C code icon.

e.g.

Code: Select all

TMR0 = 128;

I have searched the forum but could not find an answer. I wat to use timer0 interupt. Re: Timer0 interrupt

Is it possible to synchonise timer2 with an event like interupt on port B pin 0 change? I'm not the best on this so maybe you will receive a better answer. What you can to within the port B change interrupt is clear timer2 High and low registers. Does timer2 keep running after the interupt of do I ...
