Backtracking in flowcharts

Hi, powers-that-be ;-) I have a request. Would it be possible to have a 'back' button in FC like you have in a web browser? So often you are going throgh a flowchart, open a macro- call, and then you want to get back into the flowchart you can from, but you can't. You have to either look up the flow...

Re: clock speed T0 EICO-28

Hi Ben, I believe a simple note on the dialog form would go a long way to make people aware. Once you are aware it becomes a non-issue. BTW Let me take this opportunity to compliment you guys with V 5. The addional drop-down windows with macros, variables, constants, auto FC to C label conversion et...

Re: Conversion rules float to/from unsigned integer

Thanks Ben, that is very helpful. I thought that something like fSomething = fSomethingElse + uiNumber would implicitly convert the ui before doing the operation but it is not consistent. I was not aware of the float2int function. Can I assume there is also an int2float? Is there a list of these fun...

Re: Conversion rules float to/from unsigned integer

I bit the bullet and upgraded to FC7 ;-)

But I am getting stuck with the Supp Code for EEPROM presetting. Would be nice if you could take a look at my latest post in the FC7 forum.

Re: ADC Component change ref voltage

Not sure how relevant this is, but I had the exact same issue in the past, which was resolved when support send me a new version of the PIC_cal_ADC file. Might be useful that you are using the revised version.

Re: delay_ms compile error

I got bailed out by Jac Kersing from The Netherlands. The correct syntax is: #asm _asm banksel OPTION_REG bsf OPTION_REG&0x7f,7 //set wpu through !gppu movlw 0b00110111 banksel WPU movwf WPU&0x7f //all wpu _endasm #endasm Setting the oscillator speed by setting CONFIG register bits is no lon...

Re: Using variables in embedded asm code?

Yes that seems to work. Thanks.

Re: Weird error message?

Of course the PIC16BIT_CAL_Float.c IS for 8 bit processors... I downloaded and installed PIC16BIT_CAL_Float.c in the \CAL\PIC16 folder and I still got the error. Then renamed it to PIC_CAL_Float.c and installed it in folder \CAL\PIC and that did the trick. I would however humbly suggest that after d...

Re: gLCD ILI9341 - Pins correspondence to Flowcode Connections

It seems your display has two options for connections, serial connection and parallel connection. The FC pins are for the serial connection. The pins D4, D5, D6, D7, WR, are for a parallel connection and you don't need those for the serial link. For the serial link you only need clock, chip select a...

How to remove peripheral? Solved!

Found it! I have a project with two EEPROMs attached in V7, an EEPROM (native FC7) and a 'V5_eeprom0' which came with the source developed in FC5. I suspect I have somewhere mixed up the two and want to remove one to find out. Probably a stupid question, but how do I remove a peripheral from being a...

Re: Wrong counts from 16F886 ADC? - work-around

Finally compiled the software to another PIC, a 16F1788. Same hardware prototype. This is a 12 bit ADC, so for a 1V input and 4.096 ref I should get a count of 1000, I get 997. Good enough for government work. Actually the ref is 4.102V so that narrows the gap further. Conclusions: - Nothing wrong w...

Re: Workaround for fround(x,y) for PIC?

Hi Medelec, thanks for chiming in. I hadn't seen that post, but as noted above have found an extremely simple solution!
