Re: PWM PIC18F47K40

Hi Martin I'm a bit lost now The PWM will work at the correct frequency if Timer2 interrupt Prescale Rate is set to the required PWM Prescale. Timer 2 interrupt Rollover Value is set to the required PWM period. The timer 2 interrupt can be enabled, then disabled straight away. I have set the rollove...

Re: PWM PIC18F47K40

Hi Ben

I have tried to do that without any luck, but if I enable the disabled code in the TimerInt macro in the example program below then I get a frequency of 492Hz, this PWM refuses to work on any of the timers.

Re: PWM PIC18F47K40

Hi Howard

Thanks for the reply I have turned off the watchdog timer but that does not help. I'm not sure how to set the timer 2 and 4 to show me a predetermined frequancy could you please explain

Re: PWM PIC18F47K40

Hi Martin

Thanks, I have tried all of the above suggestions but still can't get it to work, 1-second flasher working on RB0 So Pick working correctly, Have updated flowcode tried using Timer 4 still noting so not sure where to go from here.

Re: Analog To digital

Hi Martin

I have used the formula it works quite nicely but the accuracy is about 2 degrees off. What I have done to try to solve the problem is after temp = temp / 10 I add 2 to temp.
Also, do you perhaps know how I would go about making a temperature PID

Re: Analog To digital

Hi Martin

Thanks let me give the temp = temp *49 / 10 a try, as I see the remapping is for Arduino and I'm working with PIC. I did try the remapping but could not find user

Hi Guys This is the first time I'm working with the A/D, I'm working with a 5v PSU the input voltage is connected to (A0) with a 10mv / degree input voltage. What has lost me is once you read the value then you multiply it by 500 Temp = fmul (ATD, 500) this is what I have seen in some examples. Shou...

Re: Pic16F1618 UART Remap

Hi Martin I have tried putting the send string straight after the UART initialize in a loop with a 1-second delay but still nothing. I have also hooked the scope up but can't measure any voltage only noise 250mv. and even hooked up a USB to RS232 converter that does not even give me gibberish. I don...

Re: Pic16F1618 UART Remap

Hi Ben

Thanks for the reply I did the 1s puls when I set the clock speed to 32Mhz internal, that all seemed to work. I have also changed the settings as you suggested but still nothing. Is there anything else I can try.

Pic16F1618 UART Remap

Hi Guys
I'm trying to get the RS232 TX to send data on the PIC16F1618 SSOP 20 pin but can't seem to get it right. If I do a simulation it sends the data out on the coms port but when I try it in the chip nothing not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Re: Convertin from decimal to Characters

Hi Thanks for the reply what in trying to do is read back the memory and then change it to Characters so I can use it in an SMS message string. Hi Guys I am saving a string in I2C memory eg Hello World now when I read it back I get the decimal number for it 72(H) 101(e) 108(l) 108(l) 111(0) 32(space) 87(W) 111(o) 114(r) 108(l) 100(d) how do I convert that back into a string of characters?
