Re: EB-006-00-9 Driver issue
Hi, have there been any further developments / solutions to the problems people seem to have with this programmer? With the 2 second delay mloader, the supplied micro (16F1937) appears to program correctly with a simple loop of text on an eb005 lcd. I didn't use an external power supply for this tes...

HLK-RM04 ?
Hi, I have some HLK-RM04 wifi modules that I would like to use with flowcode 6 pro. As I understand it most of the commands are of the old AT modem variety, so should not present much of a headache. My questions are, a: is it worth creating a user macro? and b: how would I go about creating this mac...

Re: EB-006-00-9 Driver issue
Hi again, not sure if this will help, but I found that in windows7 I had to set all the exe files to 'run as administrator' This was the only way I could get it to program correctly on my laptop (win7 home 32bit). I have had to do this with quite a few programs, even with pickit 2 and 3. Worryingly ...

Re: EB-006-00-9 Driver issue
Further to my previous post, and regarding all the problems people have, how do I tell which firmware is programmed into the eb009?
Benj if you read this can you send me the latest firmware, hopefully with instructions. I have pickit 2 and 3.
Thanks again john

Re: EB-006-00-9 Driver issue
Hi, I received my eb009 yesterday, and I downloaded and expanded the driver listed under the datasheet. Straight away it found and installed the driver and the board works great. I am using win7 pro 64bit. I will try and install it today on my xp machine.

Re: pic18f46k22 help please.
Hi, frustrating is not the word!! I think i've found out whats causing it, but not how. Everything was working perfectly, I had version 3 (pic avr arm), and the same with v4 all professional. When I wanted to see the differences in v5 prior to maybe buying the pic version. I installed the demo versi...

Re: pic18f46k22 help please.
Hi Martin, thanks for answering. All I did was a simple loop displaying some text on an lcd display. I have used this on many different pics with no problem. I'm still having trouble where the linker location gets confused, so maybe theres more than one problem. It keeps going back to c:\program fil...

Hi, I'm trying to generate a hex file for the above chip. It compiles to c ok, but throws up the libc file not found error when I try to compile to hex. When I tell flowcode 4 where these files are, it gives a long list of errors with return code -2 for some reason, occasionally the linker location ...

Re: flowcode avr v4 fails to compile
Hi, Again, sorry for the delay in replying, health issues continue to ruin things.. I installed norton utilities, which found a multitude of errors all over windows. I corrected these (well, it did!), rebooted and now, it seems to work ok. I'd like to know, as i'm sure many would, why the windows re...

8bit lcd display
Hi, its probably been asked before, but search couldn't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a way of using an 8bit lcd interface. The reason being it's supposed to be faster.!? Is there a way of modifying the character lcd routine that will allow an 8bit configuration? Thankyou, regards john

Re: Flowcode 4 and compiler location
Hi Martin, sorry about the delay.. This problem only started when I installed the demo version of flowcode dsp. It seemed to change the linker locations, and point to the dsp linker. I've found a way to cure it, but somewhat drastic! Un-install ALL flowcode software. Re-boot Re-install everything. T...

Hi, I have flowcode v4.3.6.61 for avr. When I try to compile a simple lcd program, it compiles to c code ok. Flowcode 4 and compiler location
Hi, I have had this problem with flowcode4 ever since it came out. After an install it would work perfectly. Then for some reason the compiler/linker location gets changed, and it throws up the following: Error: Failed to open:libc.pic16.lib or C:\Program Files\SourceBoost\lib/libc.pic16.lib failure...

Re: GPS 1PPS EB056
Hi Monie, did you get your board working ok? I found that it takes quite a while for the 1pps signal to start. If you leave the module somewhere where it can 'see' the sky, for perhaps 5 minutes, and see if the pulse appears. Looking at the diagram in the datasheet the pulse signal comes out of pin ...

Re: Using pic18f25k22
Hi Benj, I find that with some of these datasheets they assume you have a degree in microprocessors. Still, at least thanks to you I found out that this 25k22 works ok! Strangely, this is the first chip where I had to change anything! I take it that if i wanted to program this chip in situ using ics...

Hi Benj,
Thank you very much, it now works!.. Now I will go and
study these config settings.. Tell me, is there any documentation
on these, or is it just the data sheets you have to trawl through?
regards john

Re: Boostc latest
Hi, thanks benj, For some reason the linker line keeps pointing to a non existant folder that the free version of dspic flowcode created. Since installing that on 4 different machines, it has re-written the linker parameter line to c:\sourceboost instead of Matrix multimedia etc etc I was hoping thi...

Hi Benj, I have tried this on three different machines, 2 running xp, and one running windows 7 64bit. Everything is ok after installing fc4 (pic/avr/arm). I then installed the fc4 dspic Dspic works fine. Try fc4 pic, -2 error. Even the default points to c:\sourceboost, if I change this to Matrix Mu...

Flowcode 4 linker issue
Hi, I have flowcode 3 & 4 installed on my pc (pic arm & avr). I recently installed the dspic flowcode demo, and somehow its replaced the flowcode 4 pic linker files. When I try to compile to hex I get the failure -2. I have noticed that if i point the linker at linker.exe instead of boostlink.exe it...
