Re: Pic24 / dsPic & Pickit2 or Pickit3

kersing Big thanks mate. For some reason the program had something totally different in the Parameters part of the Linker / Assembler settings even though I had removed and installed the program again. I changed it to your suggestion and it built the HEX file without problems. I had a problem with t...

Re: Pic24 / dsPic & Pickit2 or Pickit3

Hi Guys... Tried the Pickit2 setting but no joy... Obviously I had to make some changes to the path to allow for the fact that I use Flowcode 4 (I'm using 64bit Windows 7 too). Settings I have now.... _____________________________________________________________ Programmer Section of Compiler Option...

Re: Pic24 / dsPic & Pickit2 or Pickit3

Thanks for these links I'll give them a try,

It looks these are in the Flowcode 5 part of the forum possibly the reason I couldn't find them in the V4 part of the forum.

Thanks again.... Fingers crossed...

Pic24 / dsPic & Pickit2 or Pickit3

Hi Guys. I have been trying my Microchip Explorer 16 board with Flowcode and a Pickit2 (and a Pickit3) so had to try and get the Compiler Options configured for them but I have not had any luck. I've searched the forum and not found the settings. I have tried a bit of DIY too based on the configs fo...

Re: You Choose! - Next Flowcode Training Video Subject

I agree with these comments completely. I have downloaded / viewed a whole host of videos from the web (including YouTube) only to find that the quality is so bad the video only serves to show something can be done with this or that and someone else has managed to do it. None of them actually help o...

Re: MCP23S08 SPI Problems

Benj Thanks for a prompt reply with great wisdom. What you said was spot on. I changed the code (attached) in line with your post and it worked. I started to make changes to make it do what I need but then stopped before I made too many changes as I thought the file could be of use to others too. I ...

MCP23S08 SPI Problems

Hi Has anyone got SPI working with a MCP23S08? Willing to help me out? Please. I am trying to work out SPI stuff as I have several interfaces that need SPI communications but when I tried following the notes & circuits for the interfaces none worked. I have built many circuits but no joy. So I thoug...

Re: Microstepping Stepper Motors

Steve Thanks for the replies and links, Have you actually made use of any of the stepper motor chips? I have one of the Allegros chips (A3972SB Farnell 145-7114) that I am going to try and expect to have others soon. I have a few other makes of motor control/driver chips that don't seem easy to get ...

Microstepping Stepper Motors

Hi Is there any plans to add a microstepping component for stepper motors? I have a project that needs it and have blown up a few dedicated motor controllers and drivers trying to get microstepping working. If anyone has any experience of doing this that can help I would be most appreciative it's ge...

Can V6 Co-Exist with V4?

Hi

I am looking to test V6 but have V4 PIC & dsPic versions installed will V6 install and remove without affecting these?

And.....

Because I didn't need to upgrade to V5 will I be able to upgrade to V6 rather than go through V5 to V6.... This could be expensive, very expensive....

Thanks

USB Host in version 5 ?

Hi I have searched the net, forum and FAQ and all the things I can possibly read about Flowcode version 5....... Does Flowcode 5 support USB host? I use the pro versions (version 4) of PICmicro and dsPIC & PIC24, I now need to be able to put projects together that use USB host and I can't find anywh...

PIC18F4550 & TC77 ... Help Please

Hi I am using Flowcode 4 with a PIC18F4450 connected to a TC77, I am able to read it with the SPI component OK but the values I am getting just confuse me. I have read the datasheet for the TC77 loads of times and it doesn't get any clearer. I have used other temperature sensors in the past where th...

Re: Loop counter doesn't reset

Hi Thanks for the offer but I don't need a work around. I didn't try it in the chip, because it wasn't working in the simulation I just did it a different way. As I was testing the program to see if the rest of it worked and not knowing if that was working would have only confused the tests I was do...

Loop counter doesn't reset

Hi In making a project I found a little error (or at least I think it is...) I had a loop that run 10 times and did certain checks while in the loop, one check could send the program to a connection just before the loop started, hence restarting the loop counting 10 loops again.... or so I thought. ...

Re: Button Press

Hi

Looks like this could be the way to do what I was trying to do,
It was the pressing of multiple buttons at the same time that I was strugling with, the detection of them had been sorted already.

I'll give this a try later, fingers crossed,,, but I think this could be it...

Thanks... Having run the install program again and un-installed Flowcode, then installed it again all is well with Flowcode. I haven't yet tried SourceBoost Pro 6.97 so I can't say if that is working still or not, I'll get round to trying it soon and post results... So for all those of you out there...

Re: VB

Roy USB serial isn't any different from your standard serial comms (from a VB6 point of view). As the USB serial driver allows the USB port to be seen by the computer (and hence VB6) as a 'normal' serial port, as long as you have the driver loaded for the serial device you have plugged into your USB...
