Re: FC7 free limitations

A 30 day free trial would be ideal for the likes of me. I am currently having to keep using V4, V5, and V6 alongside each other for numerous reasons. The most important one of them is that every time I bought a version after V4 I had to put up with limitations of the free version that prevented me f...

Re: Flowcode 6.1 Released!

I just updated 6.1 to 6.1.2 and I am experiencing a very odd problem. One of my files compiled on 6.1 and left me with 8 locations free in a PIC16F628A. The recompiled version using 6.1.2 comes up with a failure notice and leaves me with 530 locations short! Just to make sure I was not imagining thi...

Re: reading and writing to an EEPROM in V6

Thanks Qmesar, but that's not the same thing for some reason. In the V5 version you can see the value and location of the data as it is read and written to the EEPROM. If anyone has V5, look in the Misc Tools area for EEPROM to see exactly what I am looking for.

reading and writing to an EEPROM in V6

I am having a really rough time converting a V5 code set to V6. In V5 there is the EEPROM function in the MISC section that I use to read, write, and monitor specific EEPROM locations that I use. But I can't find any of that in V6. I can't figure out how to read and write to the EEPROM in a PICF88 i...

Crystal frequency for I2C when using a PIC

Is there a specific crystal frequency that I should use with say a PIC16F873A? I wish to read and write to a I2C enabled chip that has a maximum 400KHz bus speed. But I have not been able to find any reference regarding what frequency or range of frequency the PIC crystal has to adhere to for correc...

Re: HP488 as 3.3Volt development platform?

I wish to communicate with a couple of chips from Wolfson via the I2C bus. I have tried level shifters etc. but this has its own problems. A direct communication voltage level would offer a far better method. I'll probably have to modify a HP488 3V3 to try. But I can't find a 2nd HP488 to buy in the...

HP488 as 3.3Volt development platform?

I would like to use the HP488 to develop and test software for use with a 3.3V piece of kit that I am building. I have had few problems with developing 5V products and doing initial testing on them by wiring the HP488 directly into my own projects. But the HP488 has 5V I/O lines, which makes it unsu...

Re: TIMER produces the interrupt with no counting

I use the timer to count as well, but store the count result in a memory location. So I can recall the count value when the timer restarts.

Re: Tell us about your projects...

Unfortunately for me I lost out on the chance to take part in this thread and qualify to win a free copy of FC5 partly due to delays in a code issue in FC4. See my query on PIC16F88 ADC errors. But I managed to modify the code and have finally managed to launch the product onto the market, but 6 mon...

Re: ADC input on 16F88 error?

Just a quick update on this ADC problem.

I had several people double check my work and they too had problems with ADC4. So I had to redesign the PCB for the project and use ADC1 instead. Everything now works fine :D .

Re: ADC input on 16F88 error?

Hi Martin, I don't have the V7 board. Mine is a bit older than that. However I have tried the program out on the HP488, on the EB006 with EB003-00.2, and finally out of desperation I built a PCB with a 16F88 on it with related circuit and jumpers to swap between AN0 all the way up to AN4. Everything...

ADC input on 16F88 error?

I am having problem with figuring out why I can't read an ADC value on AN4 of a PIC16F88. The program works as expected in simulation mode on AN4, but fails completely in hardware mode. The program works perfect on ADC0 to ADC3 in both simulation mode and hardware mode. This is what has me snookered...

As the other previously unidentified customer I would like to ask which drivers exactly should be used. Also, what are the jumper switches for? I looked far and wide for any info on the HP6339 and how to set it up, but nothing came up. No datasheet, nothing. Maybe those pieces of information have be...

Re: Hi-Fi audio preamplifier using Burr-Brown PGA2310

Thanks for posting the FC4 file Fotios. I have been studying it with the view to add an option that I first built into two commercial products in 2005/2006. They both have the option to edit the name on the LCD display of each of the devices connected to the audio inputs. Maybe we can all put our th...
