Re: Limited Code Size

Hello, Hopefully the v6 activation is working correctly now. If not then let me know your account username and I will get it sorted for you. I don't see why the program is so restrictive towards students/home users who have paid decent sums of money for both V4 and V5, it makes it impossible to cre...

Re: Limited Code Size

Hello, If you use v6 then you will get a 30 day trial period for free with no restrictions. After this has expired if you purchase the PIC chip pack then this is much lower then the cost of a pro v5 license and also has the bonus that the code size is unlimited. You will still be restricted on whic...

Re: Limited Code Size

I think I now have to compile using the Hi Tech C compiler but Flowcode and this compiler have many problems. Having tried this forums tutorial on using HiTech I have come across many errors when I compile ever the most simple of programs. I now think I will have to give up with the project and it w...

Limited Code Size

As I have been talking about in the V2&3 section. I currently own the student version of flowcode V4 and V5 which cost £49.99 but when building my project for hobby use only, I came across the problem that I can only program 50% of my PIC16f877a. This has ruined my project as I can no longer complet...

Re: Sourceboost Licence and code size

I think you will be pleasantly surprised to learn that you can now upgrade your V5 Home to V6 Chip Pack for a very small fee. V6, as far as I know, has no program size restriction. Looking at your photo and the fact that you have programmed up to the V5 Home limit, you definitely have a knack for t...

Re: Sourceboost Licence and code size

You are referring to an 6 year old message. Things have changed over the years: if you download the Flowcode V5 data sheet, available here , you will find the limit clearly listed on page 12. The home version is equal to the student version (as is evident from the price). Thank you for the reply, I...

Re:

Ok, I see the problem. Flowcode uses a C compiler called BoostC, which comes with certain licences. The licence table for BoostC is here: http://www.sourceboost.com/Products/BoostC/BuyLicense/LicenseLimitations.html Different versions of Flowcode use different versions of BoostC. For example: Flowc...
