Re: SPI communication

Hello, The CAL_SPI is responsible for all low level SPI functionality. The SPI Master component has the CAL_SPI component built in but also provides some extra functionality in the form of macros and properties for the SPI E-block EB013 and Console data in the Flowcode simulation. Hello Can you tel...

I have a Flowcode file to test. If you have a problem I say something.
Now only a curiosity, what's the difference between master and cal_spi spi?

Re: SPI communication

Thanks for the reply

I have more questions, if you can help me grateful.
For SPI communication have the pin MOSI, MISO, SCK and CS right?
In the component properties not appear CS pin why?
What is the solution?

Origado

Benj wrote:Hello,

It looks like you pull the chip select low. send out a 0 to perfrom a read, then read a byte to collect the data from the register. Then raise the chip select to finish the transaction.

This might help.

Good night
I'm starting to study the SPI function. I found this table in the datasheet that will work.
My doubt is, how do I read the address 00h?

So if I have a dsPIC33 clocked at 4 MHz, and a prescale of osc / 4.
I'll take 500 kbits per second right?
Sounds right to me :D

4MHz / 2 / 4 = 500KHz.
Thanks for the explanation :D

Re: Prescale

Hello, The SPI prescale is a division of the master instruction clock. So say the oscillator is running at 4MHz. PIC 8-Bit & dsPIC30 = Instruction clock = Osc / 4 = 1MHz PIC24 / dsPIC33 = Instruction clock = Osc / 2 = 2MHz AVR = Instruction clock = Osc = 4MHz So an 8-bit PIC with an Osc speed of 4M...
