Re: I2C Keyboard 8x8 device

Hi LeighM Thanks you for suggestion. This is what is displayed within the component build: KB Component1.png This is what is displayed when the component is placed in a project: KB Component2.png There is a small red exclamation mark next to the image file, not sure what it means. Regards Dave

I2C Keyboard 8x8 device

Hi everyone I am working on a prototype device which, will scan a keyboard ( will be up to a full 80 plus keys) and send the key pressed to your project, using the I2C protocol. This device is independent to your project, therefore, it requires a FC7 component to communicate with it. Everything is w...

Re: Windows 10 and FC 7

Hi Sorry, I think I did not understand your problem correctly. I had a USB driver problem a while back and had to manually get Windows 10 to install a USB driver that was signed, pre the UEFI rules that were enforced by Microsoft. This meant that no matter how you install the driver, it will be not ...

Re: Windows 10 and FC 7

Hi

I had a similar problem with Windows 10 build 1709 using the Arduino UNO R3. Once the USB drivers were installed, I had to select the correct com port as shown here:
UNO R3 com Port.png
(34.8 KiB) Downloaded 2523 times
I have to select this com port every time I load FC7 to program the device.

Works great though.

Hi

I can confirm that I have tested this module and I too have the same problem - the first data byte is over written by the third data byte.

USB Host Controller to RS232

Hi Everyone. I have been experimenting with USB Keyboards and Magnetic Stripe readers. I would like to share this with you, the USB Host Controller Board V2.4 to RS232. It has the advantage of doing all of the USB stuff outside of the project and allows data to be read using RS232 8bit at 9600 BAUD ...

Re: New Component Configuration

Hi All I think I have found the problem. If the GUID is not updated with a new ID, causes the error, I think. Anyway, I started again with a new component project and imported the macros one-by-one to see which caused the error. None did. mmh However, I set up the Component Configuration' each time ...

Re: MAX7219 component

Hi Martin Looking good. I have tried to compile a project using the component generated by your component project. It compiles ok to a PIC18F4550. Looking at the component configuration, there are some details that require some entries (probably explains the strange behaviour). Have a look at the ma...

Re: How to initialise the array?

Hi Igor
The way I understand the way to set up an array is as follows:
array.jpg
array.jpg (171.84 KiB) Viewed 1475 times
When the variable is declared, I place the size of the array using [ ] as you have within the set up box shown above.
Each value can then be defined using the calculation icon.

Hope this helps.

Re: MAX7219 component

Hi Martin I hope I can shed some light on your concerns. 1. The simulation icon when used to build an exported component is an important step. You are seeing what I first thought when I started building components. This is what your component looks like so far when exported. I have set your componen...

Hi Martin I have downloaded your max7219 component you have been working on. You are right in thinking that this component has been updated to allow more variables to be included in the web page. Here is the link to that post made by Ben:

Hi Igor I am curious as to how you are connecting your device to the MCU. Looking at the data sheet, it shows these connections - four: TCA6408A2.jpg . On the MCU side, there are four required connection for this device (TCA6408A). Therefore, I would design my component to have just three connection...

Hi Matt To which ' new ' component do you refer? Also, not sure which instruction you mean that requires you to 'Import Component'?
