We will look into the 12F devices and try to find out why they wont compile on some machines. They seem to work fine here. I believe there will be a SDK available in the near future however Steve will need to confirm this. Canipus's second version of the frequency devidor program can be downloaded f...

Hello Milkat

I think the PWM component will support the vast range of the 18F devices and I dont see any reason why all PWM outputs wouldn't be allowed.

Hello Andrew

I dont think that this is really the right website for your question but my advise is get rid of internet explorer altogether it is bad news. Use Mozilla Firefox it is far superior in many ways. Hope this helps.

Hello Alan Do you mean 18F452 because there isn't a 425 in the list. I have had a look at the C code generated by the EEPROM component in regards to this device but I cannot see any problem. The error will probably lie in the FCD file for the chip so I will have a dig through it if I get chance. Ste...

I will try to explain how it works but to be honest Steve is your man. He will be back on monday. Firstly you set up a variable for each PWM you wish to u...

The 12F devices load and compile fine as long as you are using the ports available on the chip. The GP I/O pins are refered to in Flowcode as PortA. As long as you are reading and writing to pins on portA the program will work. When using a pre made program like the one sent to me by Canipus, before...

The latest Flowcode V3 update is a crutial update as it fixes a lot of bugs and also provides a base for future updates to patch into. The current release is not capable of being patched.

Hi guys

If you get any code working then send it to me at ben@matrixmultimedia.co.uk

I will add it to flowcode when the SDK component is finished.

Thanks for all your ideas. Your help makes Flowcode great and more powerful.

Hi Lokinvaar Sorry about moving your post. I have made sure that the support section cannot be posted to now. There are no known issues with this chip but I do not have one here so cannot test it. It sounds like your chip has become write protected. Meaning the code that is on it has been locked. Un...

Programming PIC16F716 with PPP and V2 Development board

Taken from our Support FAQ Database. RE lokinvaar I have been using 16C711's succesfully for several years, using PPP with a V2 Development board. I want to use the program on the PIC16F716 which I understand from data sheets is compatible. I have downloaded the latest update for PPP version 3.8.11....

wont a NOP wary in time depending on the speed of the local oscillator Yes a single NOP just takes up 4 clock cycles this would have to be translated into a time equivalent to 4us. Hello David The EEPROM memory is taken up depending on which variable you are placing into the EEPROM. However you can only write to the EEPROM a byte at a time so. A Byte / Char / 8 bit variable will take up 1 byte of EEPROM. A Int / Double / 16 bit variable will take up 2 bytes of EEPROM and invol...

The anomaly with your ascii character is probably due to the fact that the LC-Displays use a similar but different ascii character set then that of windows. To display your degrees symbol you have to use the hex value 0xDF.

Thats right the Input Output pins assigned by Flowcode are designed for use with our Dev boards and E-block range of hardware. You are also correct that when the pin is configured as an input that when a switch is pressed the LED also switches on. However if the pin is configured as an output the le...

This may have something to do with the inbuilt pull up resistors present in the PICmicros. Im not sure but I think that Flowcode may enable or disable them while your assembler program would not. If you replace your 1K resistor connected between Ground and GP3 with a 4.7K or higher resistor this may...

In the C Code block you need to use delay_10us(10); this will create a delay of 100us. The other 4us can be taken up by the control logic that controls the serial data flow. If the delay is not long enough then the 4us can be created by using assembler embedded into a C code block eg asm { nop ;nop ...
