Re: pic controlling a relay

Hi Bob, just a suggestion have you seen these batteries - small and compact 12 V have used it in a project it also has a mate the A27 size similar to a AA. The A23 gave a reasonable service life in my project and I did have a 2 x 16 LCD Display powered. Although the A23 Ah is lower than the PP3 @ 30...

Re: pic controlling a relay

Hi Bob Most of the breadboard PSU things from Ebay (I am presuming the ones that pick up the power supply rails at each end of the board with a DC jack in the centre or on one end) Most have a max current of around 250mA, there are some however rated at 500mA & 750mA if you dig around further howeve...

Re: RESISTANCE METER

Hi Bob, Can I add a slightly different approach .. have you tried a constant current generator ? - maybe set at 10ma and measure the voltage across the unknown device Then using ohms law 500 ohms would give you 5 volts. This dose also depend on your lower level of resistance too 100 ohms would give ...

Re: RS485 Battery Stack and Common Ground

Hi George

I would look at these to isolate the battery voltage and prevent a back-feed through the micro and shorting out your batteries.
Its easy done and makes a mess !

Re: RS485 Battery Stack and Common Ground

Hi George, With that circuit I think you will more than likely blow the micro, this could also end up in unequal discharge on your batteries Can you advise what you trying to do ? How about using a multiplexer or two and then strobing round your batteries ? Then you have a break in the circuit and l...

Hi Siliconchip siliconchip hi im trying to make a simple resistance meter, i know nothing about these so looked on google to get an idea about them I had a dabble with a resistance meter some time ago, I used the kelvin method and a constant current generator. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four-term...

Hi Dutch There was a project some time ago (V4) if you do a search "mood light" the article zone gives a 404 error for some reason hopefully matrix staff will see this and try and fix the broken link. https://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=7021&hilit=mood+light this post may be of s...

Thanks Martin, You mentioned in Jays Post you might be able to convert to V7, Would that be possible ? as i dont have V8 Can think of lots of uses for testing :) how easy would it be to make the frequency go down to 25 Hz I ask before having a look at the chart sorry . Hi spryderweb Dosnt look like it is supported (i could be wrong on this), matrix may be able to help / advise better. I did an excel chip list a while ago (For V6) this may be of help to find a device, the list dose list some high pin counts http://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=164...

Re: LEAD ACID BATTERY CAPACITY MONITOR

Hi SILVESTROS9 to add to martins post, are the batteries industrial? Please be aware that the capacity vs terminal voltage is not linear. this is for an industrial battery (i cannot say for Automotive or other types ). You may also need to monitor current. You will need to get the battery data sheet...

Re: Dual 12V SLA battery charger

had a look at your program why are you using 9V for low battery voltage ? - battery manufacturers get "twitchy" when you start to discharge to 1.7 - 1.6 Volts per cell if on a discharge - peak dips can go lower i.e engine cranking as this is of a short duration. (their are batteries that can "deep d...
