Possible SIM Slider problem
HI Have started messing around with the Sim components and found a problem. I have enclosed a very simple chart with both a simulation slider, knob and LED. The LED turns on when knob value gets above 100 all good. Now if you replace the knob with the slider nothing happens. Am I doing something wro...

Re: Howto :- 32bit addition from 4 Registers
Thank you both so much.
To model this in FC without the actual hardware I'm guessing I could use, say, 4 rotary switches configured to read 0 to FF - any suggestions on how to see the result of the addition
.
Thanks again

Re: Howto :- 32bit addition from 4 Registers
Hi Martin, 32bits and 24bits brain fart from datasheetitus. Just to be clear, here's an image from the datasheet. I have to add 1440000 (15 F9 00) to the number held in the table below and then write the result back into a similar address space. Capture.PNG This is what I want to achieve Ignore the ...

Howto :- 32bit addition from 4 Registers
Hi Sorry - cryptic title OK I need to read in a 32bit (8 Bytes) number from four registers of an external device, then add a 24 bit number (6 Bytes) to it and finally load the resultant back into a device. The reading and writing bit I can do but how do I achieve the individual byte value addition w...

Re: One Wire EEPROM (DS2431)
The timings and distance would not be a problem if Matrix had taken me up on my suggestion from last year by making a component using the DS2480B.

Don't worry Ben I have just seen that you now need a licence pack for vNet. Even so I presume I should get a console of some up -shouldn't I?

Re: Setting up vNET
Hi Ben Thanks for the reply. Following the example, I have two FC programs running. One running Node 1 example and the other with Node 2 running, but Node 2 does not show anything when the keypad is pressed. I get nothing displayed when I click on the 'Console' via the 'VIEW' menu in the menu bar. W...

Missing Atmega328 Chip
Hi I notice that the updated ATMega328P (ATMega328PB) is not included in the AVR chips section, I seem to remember that with the new (now old) compiler that all chip were/could be available. It now has 2x UART, 2x SPI 2x I2C, 2 more 16bit timers and capacitive (Qtouch) compatible inputs. Is there an...

Setting up vNET
HI
Using FC 7.3.0.5 (are there any updates by the way?)
How do you use and setup vNET? I have seen a fantastic Youtube video using V5 (I miss that GUI Interface!!!) showing how to set it up and it's use but cannot find anything similar in v7?
Thanks

Modbus (over RS485)
Hi
Does the Modbus component invoke a COM Port interrupt when data is received on a MCU's hardware COM port? (or even a pin change interrupt via a GPIO pin if a software COM port is used)
Thanks

Re: Simulation External Input Frequency
Hi Ben,
Am I right in thinking this gets loaded into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 7.2\components" ?
If so then I am afraid I cannot see where I can load a variable into the frequency box.
I have taken a screen grab of the Sim macro dialogue box so you can see

Simulation External Input Frequency
HI
Is it possible to expose the Simulation Input frequency so that I can dynamically change the value via a variable during runtime. If so how?
Thanks

Re: Slider Simulation
Oh! that was easyThis should be quite easy, just multiply the output by 5400.0 and then add 600.0.
Thank you - (trouble is it really hits my OCD trait when thing don't work as expected sorry!)
