DS18B20 Temp sensor
Hi, I am trying to get a DS18B20 temp sensor to work with FC6. I have used the example file and tweaked it for my setup, but the only value displayed on the gLCD is 32767.5. The one-wire component macro in FC6 has an option for the DS1820 which is a bit different to the DS18B20. Has anyone managed t...

Which colour gLCD to use
Hi, I would like to do a project with a colour LCD (maybe even with touch screen capability). I'd like to know which LCD out there is a tried and tested unit with FC6 that works with the component macros. I don't want to waste money by buying an incompatible screen. I'll be using a PIC18F microcontr...

Thanks for the reply.
Benj, how do I get hold of my FC5 professional KEY? My previous laptop crashed and I think it was on that laptop.

Re: GLCD for FC v5
Thanks Ben,
I'll see if I can get a ks0108 and test it with V5.
As a matter of interest, what is the upgrade price to V6 from V5 prof?

GLCD for FC v5
Hi there, I have been using the standard character LCD,s (16x4) with flowcode for a long time and very successfully. I would like to use gLCD's now with FC5. Please could someone point me in the right direction as to which one is compatible with flowcode and has a reasonable screen size and resoluti...

USB Design
Hi all, I am new to USB so I have a few "silly" questions. I would like to send a request for data from a PC (Windows8.1) to a PIC. The PIC must then respond by retrieving the data from AD etc and then send this data back to the PC. Now my questions are: 1. Do I use USB Serial / USB HID / USB Slave?...

USB component driver for windows 8
Hi all,
Does anyone know whether the USB driver that is generated by FC5 with the USB component is compatible with Windows 8.1?
Thanks in advance...

Re: Becoming a freelance engineer
Hi there, If anyone needs help with embedded control solutions using the various PIC microcontrollers, I can possibly help. I have extensive experience with the PIC (have been using these microcontrollers since 1995) and have kept up to date with the latest technologies in this regard. Send me a PM ...

Re: RS232 data sending
Thanks. I managed to solve the problem. Was basically a lack of understanding as to how the FC simulator and RS232 FC module works. Telemetry system is working great now.

RS232 data sending
Hi all, I'm quite new to flowcode v5 and am trying to do the following but am not being successful: I'm reading three values (0-100) with a PIC and am sending these values through the RS232 module of flowcode (PIC hardware UART) to be received by another PIC RS232 module and then display that number...

Re: Flow Code V5 & Windows 8 & PICKit3
Hi gents, Thanks for all this info. I will definitely give that a try tomorrow. It is quite strange that the PK3 worked 100% with flowcodeV5 on my older laptop without these settings. At least I am able to program the PIC using ICSP with the .hex file that flowcode generates by importing it into MPL...

Re: Flow Code V5 & Windows 8 & PICKit3
Hi dazz, The PICKit3 works perfectly with mplab X on my new laptop. So I'm 100% sure it's not the PicKit 3 that's faulty. Definitely a setting or something that has changed between my old laptop and new. Is there anyone using a PicKit 3 with windows8 to program a pic using ICSP? Maybe I could compar...

Flow Code V5 & Windows 8 & PICKit3
Hi all I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following issue: I have FLowcode V5 for the PIC's. I am struggling to get my PICKit3 to work with Flowcode in Windows 8. My previous laptop (windows 7, 32 bit) worked perfectly, but has unfortunately packed up and I have no option but to use my...
