Hi,
The 4d displays are available with or without the EBlock...
I protocol using an eblock the jump to the raw component for production
I have purchased 4d displays directly for the vendor via the web..
Hope that helps
Best

Re: Problem with heaps & Stacks when compiling
Hi Martn,
You make some very good points.
When you get a moment, would it be possible to create one of your very informative tutorial posts on the topic?
A basic how to on watch dog implementation would be very helpful.
Hope it's not a too cheeky request

Re: MIAC Schematic
Hi Ben, The first thing to note is that to obtain either RS232 or I2C the CAN bus function is disabled. The CAN bus chip is driven by these pins in SPI mode. Look at page 11 on the data sheet. The MCP CAN chip was on a socket so I removed it and used a header to get to the pins for I2C...as I said e...

I found this on the MM website again. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/resources/files/datasheets/MIAC-operation-and-programming-guide.pdf whilst it does not have a schematic, its enough to figure it out...This what I used until the Advanced modules arrived. hope this helps.. Re: MIAC Schematic
I was really quite straight forward... The only thing I didn't realize I had to do was to use a get data command after I had requested the HMS info..Once I did this it was up and running.. I have the GPS and Advanced module running together. Using a 500ms timer on TMR2, I read the RTC, and GPS coord...

Re: MIAC Schematic
Hi Ben, I have been using MIAC for a while now..had similar questions to you when I started... If you have a look at the MIAC documentation on the MM website, it does describe the input and output circuit design...it also has good info on how the 18F4455 is connected to the peripherals... From this ...

Re: Flowcode v5.4 for PIC Released
Hi David, Just confirming the patch that you sent me to get the MIAC advanced and GPS module going can be updated with this release... Looking at the release notes (great initiative BTW) the MIAC system modules have been catered for? Ie I will not go backwards? Initial feedback on the MIAC system an...

Hi John,
It's pretty late here now... I will check driver versions for you tomorrow.. I'm using FC V5.3 also.
Can't recall any set up issues... Think I used drivers from CD ELSAM 2.4
Back soon

Re: ECIO Arm
Hi John, I can confirm that I did all my testing on ECIO ARM and did not have any issues in recognising the chip... For V5 the machine I was using never had an instance of ARM software or drivers on it.... Perhaps there is a residual software component left on your machine relating to an older versi...

Hi Rob,
Your very welcome, and thank you for the feedback. At some point you may wish to consider windows 7... All of the flaky USB behavior will go away... In the mean time you can reasonably operate with this work around.
All the best

Hi rob, The drivers should be on a CD that was supplied with your hardware... It's directory on the CD is ELSAM2.4... All the drivers for every device are in this directory and sub directories..... I did not have to delete the drives... Go into the hardware device management and remove the MM USB de...

Hi there, The bad news is that across the board Vista is an absolute "bear" in the way it manages USB devices. I had a Vista OS on my rig for approx one year, in the early stages it was worse than painful with multiple devices as my toy shop expanded. The slightly good news is that you can work your...

Hi fellow forum members, I have been playing with rate gyros for some time now and have been experiencing poor accuracy due to spurious readings from the rate gyro, potentially driven by vibration and other environmental considerations. The difficulty has been to differentiate between the true value...

Re: Flowcode for Beginners ?! any good ?
Hi Rob, glad to see that you are going to take the plunge. I agree with Enamul, the best option is to start with V5 what Flowcode version do I need ? TMP35 + pwm ? I2C temp sensor + PWM ? 1-wire Temp sensor + pwm ? IRD, Infrared ? as for the feature level, possibly you will require the pro version –...

Hi, For what it's worth, I have been using flow code since 2010 with great success. It's fantastic for rapid prototyping... Re: PWM relay?
Hi, You can drive your 12 volt relay coil via a npn transistor wired in an open collector mode... You can use a bc337 transistor or similar with a 1k resistor in series between the pic output and the base of the transistor...the emitter of the transistor goes to ground, with the collector connected ...

Re: Variable Voltage Signal using PWM
Hi James, I have used this technique a few times to generate a variable voltage... The best way to provide control over the output voltage is to use an op amp. This way you can choose the rail voltage and by playing withe the gain of the amplifier you can manage the size of the output swing vs the i...

Re: EEPROM Question
Hi,
I believe its a pic issue... Benj from MM put me onto it some time ago, and i did follow up on the Microchip website, which confirmed it.
It does not impact all PIC variants, just a few I believe...as a rule now I dont use location zero, just in case.
all the best

see how you go

Yes they are easily cascadable
On the microchip site there is an application note, which describes in detail how to address multiple devices...
I have not had any experience with AD ... Looked at them briefly, then chose microchip...I can recommend the MCP solution.
Best
