I'll disable the LCD and re check everything.

Thank you for your help

http://www.azdisplays.com/PDF/acm1602k.pdf This is the main display i use.
I'll check the supply voltages again and re verify that i have correct voltages. Contrast voltage seems to be OK too, i have a 10k multiturn trimmer.

Re: 18F4550 12x6 lcd problem
Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Sorry the 12x6 was a typo. It's actualy 16x2. Nothing is visible on the lcd during power up. No squares or anything that shows it's working. Power supply is OK i checked it multiple times and all connections, they all reach the lcd fine. I also tried 3 different disp...

Re: 18F4550 16x2 lcd problem
Clock at 48MHz solved the blinking problem, it blinks correctly.
However when i removed the loop and tried to operate normally no display again.
Have checked all the connections on the board even with a stereoscope..
That's weird.

Re: PIC SPI communication questions
Thank you kersing.
This is what i did, i thought about sending the command first followed by the two bytes (as some dac examples on the forum) but i got a bit confused by the don't care bits.
I was making a mistake on shifting.
Now it seems to be OK, i'll test this afternoon.

How can i send the whole 24 bit word with the data bits changing each time? Any ideas? Thank you for your re...

Using Windows 7 pro 64 and Kaspersky internet security 2015.
Restarting didn't solved it but disabling the antivirus did it faster..
Stupid me...
Thank's a lot kersing.

Re: Component creation freelancer wanted.
I am looking to use it with SPI interface (the serial interface).
Doesn't seem to be anything else regarding this controller. There is only one datasheet.
The actual pixel size of the display is 128 x 36 dots

Re: Component creation freelancer wanted.
Yes already i presume the acs711 (wich might get dumped for precision reasons) i want to use is something similar.
For now i am skipping the rest and focusing more on the display which is the most complicated part.

Re: PIC SPI communication questions
Hey i am still setting my circuit a bit. I want to send a range of numbers (variable) from 500 to 1800 so for example the number 1800 is 11100001000 which is 11bits. So i will send first the "0000" part and then the number to complete my 15bit word. edit: btw that is probably not the correct way sin...

PIC SPI communication questions
Hello! Noob questions. I would like to begin using flowcode and i have a few questions. I require to program a few registers (15bit) they are usually a number like 500 up to 1800 but i have to send the whole 15 sequence. SO i would like to read my variable (let's say 1400 which is 10101111000 11 bit...
