Is it possible to count two frequency?

Post by fresh »

Hi @ all,
I'm newbie with working flowcode and Mikrocontroller.
Sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand me.

I have a projekt that must be count two independent PWM Signal from Stepper-Motor
of an cnc machine.
The frequency of both are 1 to 30kHz.

Now I must summate this two Signals and than divide it.
The result are now the speed of the CNC machine.

With a analog input you can get an offset of the "speed-result"

If all calculation are done, the final result are output an a pin as a pwm Signal.
The input signals to the output signal should be realtime as can.

Now my question:
IS this technically feasible with one pic?
Have anybody a idea for a solution in Flowcode?

Thanks for answers

Do you still require any help? Or you sorted now? I have programmed a microcontroller to read a rpm value from a look up table, calculate PWM duty required for two EC motors to run at approximate read RPM, determine actual speed of two the two motors from reading taco signal, then adjust the speed of two motors so RPM is spot on. Even if both motors require a totally different PWM to run at same speed. I used a 16F737.

From reading the posts Benj has developed a CNC machine. So im sure there is help if required.

Hello medelec,
Thank you for help. I'm waiting more than 6 weeks for delivery my V4 Kit.
I'm disappointed and frustrated, so I can't learn and work with the flowcode Programm
and nobody can help me with a time-limited license to beginn with learning Flowcode.
I hope that the v4 Kit arrives this year. :x
If i have the Kit, I would be more than happy when your help.
I'm very intrested for your programmed microcontroller.

Are you on about the V4 Flowcode software?
If you brought direct from Matrix Multimedia, they would have sent you your authorization code by email.
Could that email gone in your junk folder?
Was there an error in your Email address you gave?

You can use that code to register as full version and remove the time trial. You can also Register online by going into help menu then Online Resources, That will take you to a page where you can enter your details to register. Then your Key will be emailed to you.

I have always received my emails form them very quickly with unlock codes etc.

If I was you I would send an email to ben@matrixmultimedia.co.uk (Hope you dont mind me name dropping, Ben)
Since he has sent me my code details before.

Next time, I would not leave it for 6 weeks if i was you because if there is a problem and matrix may not be aware of it (wrong info given etc), and you would be getting more frustrated since you can't use full version
