Martin "mnf" Valued contributor has been kind to create a Macro component for me, a macro component for the Max7219 display. 8x8 dot display.
With the permission of Martin, (thank´s Martin) I hereby share it with everyone here, and demonstrate some of all the fancy function the display can do. and it is many
First you need to place the Max7219_v2.fcpx component in a lib and add the component to FC8.
Next, you have to create a path in Flowcode8 Wiev > global option > location (for me: C:\Flowcode8\Max7219_v2.fcpx;).

In my case/example I use an Arduino Nano 328 as device. I am sure that other device´s also can be used. And you need a display like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAX7219-Microc ... 1438.l2649

I made an example with some of the funtion which is possible with the Component macro, there is many fancy function.

If you have, like me a little passions for display´s, I recommend to give it a try

I can't seem to import this component.

FC always opens with the message that this component is made in a newer version of FC.
I have the latest FC V8 and no updates available.

Any help is welcome.

If this component runs smooth, why don't distribute as a standard component with the coming update of FC8?

Compiled with V8. There are also versions made with v7 on the board, see the final messages in viewtopic.php?f=66&t=19356&hilit=Max7219 for example. Unfortunately I'm rather under the weather at the moment, and looking at a computer screen for more than a few minutes at a time is out - so I can't recompile at present. If you pm me I can post you the source code (when my head stops banging)
I'd be quite happy if Matrix want to distribute it as a component, although they would probably want to add some simulation code ..

But there seems something wrong with the way I add components to my Flowcode V8.
The description above doesn't seem to work for me?

What is the most recent Flowcode 8 component for these modules? Is there one that also has support for 7segments?

What a lovely component, you could learn so much by seeing how it was put together.
