In-depth information required.

Post by medelec35 »

I am really getting into the MIAC.
It’s a great bit of kit with loads of different uses. What I would like to know more about is the ‘DisplayCommand’ function. All it stated in programming guide is ‘Send a command/control character directly to the LCD’
Is there a pdf or othere type of document which goes into more details of these functions, e.g. what are all the different control characters are. If not can this information be posted please?
Thanks.

Hello

Great glad your having fun with the MIAC they are nice units to work with.

The MIAC's DisplayCommand macro is the same as the LCD components Command macro.

The macro is used to send control commands to the LCD. For example a single left shift on the display is done by sending command 0x18 and a single right shift is done by sending command 0x1C.

A full list of supported commands can be found on page 8 of the alphanumeric LCD datasheet.
