Re: very strange error ???
The only thing i can think of off the top of my head is some wierd autoplay malfunction...
Try disabling Autoplay for a moment and see if it still does it.
1. Open AutoPlay by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking AutoPlay(Category View).
or just Control Panel, and then Autoplay (Classic View)
2. To never see the AutoPlay dialog box, untick Use Autoplay.. at the top.

Re: very strange error ???
Autoplay is just the automatic loading of programs when certain devices are plugged into your machine, disabling it temporarily should have no effect on the actual functionality of the device you plug in.
Reinstalling is a good step if it is not too much hassle for you. If you do reinstall Flowcode, do not enter any licensing information in and it will retain you license information from the previous install.

Re: very strange error ???
I would start reinstalling the USB drivers. My guess is that plugging in the programmer is causing a conflict somehow and VB is opening as your default debug editor.
