Flowcode V.5 for ARM

Post by cevcarvalho »

Will the upcoming Flowcode V.5 for ARM work without problems (SAMBA, Drivers) with Windows 64 bit versions?

Samba and drivers relate to the hardware and not Flowcode itself.

Hello Carlos,

Here is how we currently stand regarding ARM devices on 64-bit.

Our ARM hardware (E-block or ECIO module) comes with a HID bootloader preloaded on the device. Using the HID bootloader you can program directly from Flowcode on any computer. You can also program without Flowcode by using the latest version of the mLoader executable that includes the HID functionality.

If anything happens to the bootloader on the ARM device then you need a 32-bit machine to allow the Atmel driver to talk to the device. The procedure for reloading the bootloader is covered in the "Flowcode ARM V4\Tools\Bootloader" directory of the Flowcode ARM release. If no 32-bit machine is available for use then you can instead load a 32-bit virtual machine onto a 64-bit machine and use this to reload the bootloader. Sun's Virtualbox is free to use and seems to do this well.
