Max6675 code

Post by jjw »

Have been using this code for max6675 for couple of months parallel with the commercial thermometer
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11246&p=39471&hilit=max6675#p39471
with three different k-type sensor. It seems that program is a bit imprecise since my Lcd shows like this: 204, 210, 205, 208, 212, 210 C etc. I could accept some two to three units accuracy but in my case 6 to 8 unit is too much. I’ve tried to use time out but without any progress. The reason why I use this program and k-type sensor is that I’m measuring temperatures from 150 to 320 C.
I’ve same the ground for max6675 and the sensor according to the data sheet. Now I’m wondering is there anything to do for code to improve accuracy? Hopefully somebody have a bit time to help me!
Thanks in advanced for your help.

Hi!
Any progress at your project? I ask, because I`am working at a similar project (an oven thermostat) and I`am looking for an working code to read the K Thermocouple.
Thank you!
