Components available with Home & Professional licence

Post by medelec35 »

I found this on a different website (I have very slightly modified it) and thought It may help users to clear up any confusion of what is available with home and professional licence:

Please let me know of any omissions or errors.
Thank you.

The "Storage" listing should not have a grey background in the chart or is this an error in the release?

I don't know, I have only tested EEPROM on a home version just now and you are correct!
EEPROM is indeed working in read and write modes.
It could be an error in the release since the console is used for simulation purposes, so although you can read/write you can't view all the values which I'm sure is not the intention.
Also I have just spotted this:
FC6 Features 3.png
(253.4 KiB) Downloaded 1317 times
Which again suggests EEPROM and FAT etc it should not work in home edition.
Beside FAT is not classed as basic, it is more advanced like comms.

I have edited my post to reflect what you have said and I appreciate your post.

In the second chart you posted, unless I am misunderstanding the meaning, Code customization is "X"ed out in the "Home" version. It is available in "Home" version by right clicking the icons. Is this an error in the release, the chart, or my interpretation of it? As it is now, the Chip Pack version seems to be a good choice for beginners and previous version home user upgrades.
