Step/Dir - Pulse Train Output with ramp generator

Post by organetic »

Hello Fellows!

I'm trying to control a stepper drive, which usually accept standard STEP/DIR inputs.

I know Flowcode has this object http://www.matrixtsl.com/wiki/index.php ... ator_(DSP)

but this frequency generator is missing the ramp feature that would be needed for acceleration/decceleration moments.

The stepper motor component of Flowcode also doesn't have this kind of output scheme, which is really a very basic standard in the motion industry.

Maybe someone can guide me through the process.

Cheers!!

Hello Organetic

maybe this worth a look , the part on generating a ramp from a pulse train (page 6) you could you the pic to generate the square wave

http://www.egr.msu.edu/classes/ece480/c ... 0Young.pdf

or you could you a op amp integrator circuit
