Full install still needs CD; burning a backup fails

Post by macg »

I selected a "maximum" install for both the C and assembly courses, but they still ask me for the CD when I start them up. I thought the intention was that I wouldn't need the CD, though.

Also, I tried to burn a backup CD but when I try running the course (because it's looking for a CD - see above) it tells me the wrong disk has been inserted.

Pointers on either issue would be most welcome - thanks.

Both of these issues are linked. The single-user versions of this CD are copy-protected to prevent illegal pirating of our software. They also require the CD to be in the drive each time the program is started - again to prevent fraud. As you have found out, the real CD needs to be in the drive - a copy will not do.
