Gentlemen,

I would like to know if it is possible to use directly, from FC7, Microchip's Real Ice programmer to program and/or debug a pic microcontroller.

Actually what I have done is to produce the .hex file and load it to the IPE application from Microchip, but it will be great if this device could be used directly with FC7.

Hello Roberto,

As your already using the MPLABX IPE software there is a way to allow Flowcode to use this directly using the compile to chip menu item.

Details for a PICkit 3 are available below. You would just have to substitute the /TPPK3 in the parameters with the appropriate tag for the Real ICE which looks to be /TPRICE.

Currently there is no debugging support, programming only.

Yes, the setting you mentioned worked perfectly well, now I can program my designs directly from FC7 to the target via Real Ice, also I tested ICD3 and PM.

Hope Debugger could be included for Real Ice in the future.
