Compiler options settings locked

Post by Quartz »

Hi

I am trying to point the compiler options window to all 3 of my Pro versions of the XC compilers.

However, I can open the compiler option window and..
I can create a new setting and save it but no matter what setting I select I can't change the compiler location or the parameters.

In the compiler options window I can use most of the items on it except change the location, parameters or use the browse button.
I have even exported a setting, changed the location in the saved file and then imported it (which works) but then it doesn't remember it or use it.
If I move off the setting and then go back it is back to default again....

Infact no matter what settings I select they all show' $(appdir)compilers\pic\bin\xc8.exe' in the location. Even the ARM ones....
Something is not right...

Can anyone shed any light onto this.
Please...

Hello,

What target device do you have selected? Some target devices provide compiler option overrides in the definition file which could explain the problems you're seeing.

Hi

Brilliant, just that alone sorted me out!

I was trying to build on the Curiosity board stuff and after reading your reply I changed the selected chip and I can now edit the location etc...

Found what I need to do now many thanks for your help.... Again.
