FC7.2.1.4 - Where are the gLCD pins connections ?

Post by Zamphy »

Why can´t visualize in “Properties” (in a 2D-Dashboard Panel) of the following gLCD displays where theirs pins are effectivelly connected to the microcontroller ? Are they just for simulation ??

STM 3 2 F 4 6 N G 1

STM 3 2 F 4 2 9 Z I

STM 3 2 F 4 6 9 N I

Another issue - these same 3 displays simply disappears when placed in the 3D-System Panel.

I can´t find where they are on the screen.

Would be a good thing to work normally with these excellent displays.

Looking for a clue. Thanks.

Hello,

The displays on the ST Discovery dev boards are configured by the underlying ST ARM C library and the IO pins are fixed hence not available as properties.

You could potentially be zoomed in too close on the 3D panel, try toggling the perspective button at the top of the panel window and see if that helps.

Hi Benj. I tried a lot with zoom in the 3D Panel, but really I can´t see any trace of them.
So, is it impossible to use these 3 display with PIC micorocontrollers ?

This is starting to ring a bell, I'll investigate for you.

Yes currently these three displays are quite complex to drive at a good speed and so the discovery boards together with unique features of the on-board ST-ARM device allow the display to work well. With a PIC even If you could get it working I think it might be very slow.
