I plan to migrate a PIC project from a 16F819 to a 16F677. The question I have is regarding the use of the V3 development board to program up some prototypes.
I have been successfully using a serial connector and the V3 development board to program in-ckt with the 16F819. The V3 development board cannot be used directly with the 16F677 PIC due to the pin configuration, but can I use it to program it in-ckt via the serial connector, assuming I make all the correct connections ?
I can select 16F677 in the PPP, I assume that the VDD pin 14,VSS pin 5,VPP pin 9,DAT pin 13,CLK pin 12 pins on the V3 dev PCB will remain the same on the 18p socket. Is this correct ?

Programing success
It works, I used the 14 pin connector on the V3 development board. The pin connections are the same, you just cant access some of the I/O's as they are not connected. Programing and PIC auto detect works perfectly.
