Injectors are used to "simulate" input data from file, device, or real COM-port. The process is called injecting.
Vnet allows two open flowcode projects to work together, like if you would have a two embedded devices.
The wiki has some articles about them, unfortunately the video examples seem to be missing:

EDIT: Oh, Leigh was faster
