Crystal frequency for I2C when using a PIC

Is there a specific crystal frequency that I should use with say a PIC16F873A? I wish to read and write to a I2C enabled chip that has a maximum 400KHz bus speed. But I have not been able to find any reference regarding what frequency or range of frequency the PIC crystal has to adhere to for correct I2C bus speed.
